Indications Depantol

Depantol suppositories are indicated for the treatment of patients suffering from vaginitis (acute or chronic stage), and in addition exo- or endocervicitis (also with complications in the form of ectopia of the uterine neck).

Pharmacodynamics

The drug includes 2 active components - bigluconate chlorhexidine, as well as dexpanthenol.

Chlorhexidine is an antiseptic that has an active effect on a relatively large group of gram-negative bacteria, as well as gram-positive microbes, yeast fungi, protozoan microorganisms, and with it the herpes and dermatophyte virus. Dexpanthenol is a prodrug that is metabolized to take the form of calcium pantothenate. This component is an integral part of coenzyme A, participates in the metabolism of carbohydrates and lipids, and besides this acetylation. Together with this, he is a participant in the binding processes of hormones GKS, acetylcholine, and in addition to this porphyrin. The substance stimulates the recovery process, stabilizes the cellular metabolism, strengthens the collagen fibers and enhances the processes of mitosis.

Dosing and administration

The drug must be administered intravaginally. The suppository must be taken from the blister just before the injection procedure.
