Erysipelas of the eyelid is an infectious-allergic skin disease of the century.
The causative agent of erysipelas is usually hemolytic staphylococcus. It is an acute serous exudative process of the skin of the eyelids with localization in the reticular layer of the dermis with the involvement of subcutaneous fat, blood and lymphatic vessels.
Drug causing hematogenous surrounding tissue sites (primary inflammation) and infection in the wound (secondary).
Symptoms of erysipelas of the eyelid
Skin eyelids edematic, bright red, shiny. The inflamed area is sharply delimited from healthy tissue by an irregular line. The general condition suffers - a malaise, the raised temperature, disturbs an excruciating dermal itch. Regional lymph nodes increase. Distinguish erythrematous (only reddening of the skin), bullous (appear on the skin blisters), pustular (bubbles filled with purulent fluid). The most severe form of erysipelas is gangrenous (marked necrosis and tissue rejection).
There may be complications - periostitis, thrombosis of orbital veins.
