[Pharmacodynamics
The therapeutic effect of suppositories Vitaprost (Vitaprost forte) and Prostatilen provides an active substance obtained by extracting prostate tissues of cattle. Due to the purposeful action on the gland tissue, these suppositories help to reduce its puffiness, which improves blood supply and positively affects tissue metabolism and prostate functions.
Suppositories from the adenoma of the prostate Tykveol contain pumpkin oil obtained from pumpkin seeds. Its main effects on prostate tissue - decrease in proliferation, improvement of microcirculation, removal of inflammation - are found in the oil with antioxidant provitamin A, carotenoid lycopene, vitamin E, zinc, phosphorus and magnesium compounds.
Pharmacological action of suppositories Bioprost also provides seed oil plus antiseptic and analgesic thymol - a phenolic compound of thyme.
Suppositories Vitol, in addition to pumpkin oil, contain an extract of licorice root naked, which has in its composition phytosteroids, similar to human glucocorticosteroids. Thanks to this, these suppositories help in the development of inflammatory processes in the prostate.
In the instructions for Prostovitol suppositories, their analgesic and improving condition of the genitourinary system is indicated, which is exerted by such components of the drug as oil extract of nettle, hips and zinc sulfate (which has antiseptic and astringent properties).
The pharmacokinetics of rectal suppositories, despite the possibility of their active substances entering the bloodstream, are not represented by the manufacturers.
Method of using suppositories from prostate adenoma
All of the above suppositories are administered rectally, that is, through the anus in the rectum.
Suppositories Vitaprost is recommended to take once a day (1 suppository) for two weeks.
Prostatilen is administered one suppository 1-2 times a day (duration of use is from 5 to 10 days).
Suppositories from prostate adenoma Tykveol, Bioprost, Vitol and Prostovitol are used similarly, but the treatment with Tyqveol can last 1-3 months.
Overdose when using suppositories Vitaprost is expressed in the appearance of convulsions, tremors, photophobia and mental disorders. While information on cases of overdose similar in composition of suppositories Prostatilen is absent. Such data are not given in the instructions to other suppositories.

Side effects
