Zulbex is an antisecretory drug that does not have a significant antihistamine and cholinolytic effect; It has anti-ulcer activity. Contains rabeprazole component.

The drug is able to inhibit the secretion processes inside the stomach, slowing down the activity of the H + / K + -ATPase proton pump enzyme. As a result of these processes, suppression of stimulated as well as basal intragastric discharge develops. The intensity of the effect of the drug depends on the size of the portion taken.

Indications Zulbexa

It is used for the following violations:

  • an ulcer that remains in the acute stage;
  • GERD;
  • destruction of helicobacter pylori;
  • erosive esophagitis;
  • preventing the development of seasonally worsening ulcers;
  • gastrinoma.

Release form

The release of drugs produced in the enteric tablets, whose volume is 10 or 20 mg.

Pharmacodynamics

The rabeprazole component penetrates the lining cells, accumulates inside them, and then enters the excretory canaliculi, where it is protonated to form the sulfenamide form. It is in this form that the drug is combined with the cysteine of the proton pump, causing an irreversible slowdown that lasts 40 hours.

Antisecretory activity develops after the 1st hour, reaching peak values after 3-4 hours.

The retarding effect after repeated use of the drug is slightly enhanced, and after 3 days it acquires an equilibrium value. After cessation of Zulbex intake, gastric secretion is restored after 3 days.

The bactericidal effect on Helicobacter pylori was detected in vitro tests. The combination with antibiotics allows to obtain high eradication rates for H.pylori (80%) and to increase the rate of mucosal regeneration.

Pharmacokinetics

Tablet shell is resistant to the acidic gastric environment, undergoing dissolution inside the intestine, in which the absorption is carried out. Indicators Cmax are recorded after 4 hours, and their value is determined by the size of the accepted dosage. Bioavailability values - 52%, protein synthesis - 97%.

The half-life term is 1.5 hours.

Dosing and administration

Tablets must be taken orally, as a whole, without breaking or chewing.

In the case of the development of the active phase of the ulcer, it is necessary to use 20 mg 1-fold, in the morning before taking breakfast. The whole cycle lasts about 1 month. If required, it can be extended.

With GERD, accompanied by erosive reflux esophagitis - a single dose of 20 mg of drugs for 1-2 months.

In the case of GERD, against which erosion does not occur, it is necessary to take 10 mg of the substance 1 time per day during the first month. Therapy can be extended if needed.

During gastrinoma, you should first apply 60 mg of Zulbex 1 times a day, then increasing the dosage to 0.12 g. Portions of less than 0.1 g are consumed in 1 dose, and the dosage of 0.12 g must be divided into 2 doses. Therapy is carried out until the clinical signs of pathology disappear.

To destroy Helicobacter pylori, use various combinations of medicines.

Interactions with other drugs

The drug leads to prolonged inhibition of gastric secretion, which can develop interaction with substances whose absorption depends on pH values.

The performance of rabeprazole and its metabolic component of clarithromycin increase after combination with Zulbex.

All substances that slow down the activity of the proton pump should not be combined with atazanavir.

The drug has no interaction with drugs whose metabolic processes occur with the participation of CYP450 hemoprotein (among them warfarin, diazepam with phenytoin, theophylline and amoxicillin).

The combination of rabeprazole with itraconazole, ketoconazole and digoxin causes a decrease in their blood parameters, which requires the correction of their portions.

Reviews

Suhlbex receives good reviews from most patients. The drug is in the group of rabeprazole, the latest generation of inhibitors, which act significantly more efficiently than lansoprazole and omeprazole. It is enough to take rabeprazole 1 time per day, which is very convenient for patients, which they note in their comments, and that the gastroenterologists emphasize.

Given that many people used the medicine for more than 1 month, there was no development of strong side effects. Among the most frequent manifestations emit postipation, flatulence and headaches.
