Zorex has hepatoprotective, antioxidant, complexing and detoxifying properties.

Indications Zorexa

It is used for such violations:

  • alcohol abstinence (to prevent the development of a hangover or its treatment);
  • chronic alcoholism (part of the combination therapy);
  • having chronic or acute intoxication, developing under the influence of inorganic or organic compounds of some components (mercury, bismuth, chromium with zinc, arsenic, nickel, gold with copper, cadmium with antimony and cobalt);
  • poisoning associated with the use of SG.

Release form

The release of the substance is realized in capsules with a volume of 150 + 7 mg (10 pieces inside the box) or 250 + 10 mg (2 or 5 pieces inside the plate, 1-2 plates inside the box).

Pharmacodynamics

Zorex is a complexing agent and donor of thiol categories. It has detoxification activity (also in relation to the metabolic products of ethyl alcohol, arsenic compounds, and at the same time heavy metals with their compounds). In clinical tests, it was found that unitol has a hepatoprotective and antioxidant effect.

The presence of active categories of sulfhydryl character promotes the interaction of unithiol with thiol nuclei, and at the same time with the metabolic products of ethyl alcohol located inside the tissues with blood, and the formation of ligaments with them (they do not have toxic properties and are excreted with urine).

With oral use of drugs, unitiol reaches the liver, where it forms physiologically irreversible compounds with acetaldehyde at high speed. Due to this, alcohol (ethanol) is excreted from other tissues with organs. The drug stimulates the activation of the enzyme alcohol dehydrogenase, which potentiates the oxidative processes associated with ethyl alcohol and helps the enzyme liver system to neutralize its toxic agents.

Pantothenate, which is contained within the drug, is able to potentiate the detoxification activity that unithiol has. This element is absorbed at high speed inside the intestine, after which it is broken down to release pantothenic acid. It participates in the metabolism of fats with carbohydrates, stimulates the formation of corticosteroids and significantly speeds up the recovery.

Pharmacokinetics

Absorption is carried out at high speed. After oral administration of the 1st capsule (0.25 g unitol), the blood values of Cmax are determined after 1.5 hours and equal to 90-140 mg / l. On average, the medicine stays inside the body for 9-11 hours (in the gastrointestinal tract of them - in the period of 15-20 minutes).

The half-life of drugs lasts 7.5 ± 0.46 hours.

About 60% of Zorex is excreted with urine, and the remainder of the medicinal substance is excreted.

Dosing and administration

To use the drug should be orally, half an hour before eating; capsule is forbidden to chew. Wash down the medication is required with ordinary water.

The sizes of portions of drugs are determined by specific situations:

  • to prevent a hangover, you should take 1 capsule (volume 250 + 10 mg) of the drug after drinking - in the evening, before going to bed;
  • in the treatment of alcohol withdrawal use 1-well capsule (volume 250 + 10 mg) 1-2 times a day. With the need, the daily portion can be increased to 0.75 g of unithiol, and the number of consumed per day - up to 3. The medication is used for a period of at least 3-7 days until the signs of poisoning disappear;
  • in case of alcoholism, the drug is used in a complex - 1 capsule (volume 150 + 7 mg) of the substance 1-2 times a day within a 10-day cycle;
  • in case of intoxication provoked by heavy metal salts or arsenic compounds, 0.3-1 g of drug per day is used per day (calculated using unithiol). This portion of the drug should be taken in 2-3 use. Therapy lasts for a period of 7-10 days.
