Zokaridis is an ACE inhibitor (drugs from the category of artificial and natural compounds used to eliminate CCC pathologies, kidney deficiency, and in addition as a protective agent against ionizing radiation).
Indications of the zokardisa
It is used in the treatment of the following disorders:
- elevated indices of pressure of any form of gravity;
- myocardial infarction in acute stage;
- heart failure or the presence of symptoms that indicate it.
Release form
Release of the drug occurs in tablets, in an amount of 7 pieces inside the blister pack. In the box - 1 such blister. Also in the blister can contain 14 tablets. In a pack with this - 1 or 2 blister plates.
Pharmacodynamics
The drug has an antihypertensive effect. The mechanism of its influence is caused by a decrease in the volume of type 1 angiotensin, formed from angiotensin. This decreases the secretion of aldosterone, a decrease in the values of diastolic and systolic blood pressure, and in addition a decrease in the degree of pre- and post-loading with respect to the myocardium.
The active element of the drug helps to expand the arteries, not acting at the same time with respect to the veins, and also not causing an increase in heart rate. Binding of PG when using Zokaridis increases, and the process of degradation of bradykinin - on the contrary decreases.
Long-term use of the drug helps to reduce left ventricular hypertrophy within the myocardium. In the process, inhibition of left ventricular dilation occurs, and in addition a complete cessation of the progression of heart failure.
When taking drugs, there is an improvement in blood supply to the myocardium, as well as a decrease in platelet aggregation. Antihypertensive treatment is observed approximately 1 hour after oral administration of the drug. The duration of the therapeutic treatment is 24 hours.
Pharmacokinetics
Calcium zofenopril is absorbed very quickly - almost immediately after penetration into the digestive tract. After absorption, the element is converted to zofenoprilat.
The peak plasma parameters of the components reach after 1.5 hours after the first use of drugs. Protein synthesis of zofenoprilat is 88%. The component passes the metabolism inside the liver, as a result of which the active product of the decomposition of zofenoprilata is formed.
The level of clearance of zofenoprilata is 1.3 l / min. Most of the element is excreted by the kidneys, and another 26% is excreted inside the intestine.
Dosing and administration
Tablets are used orally. Their reception is not dependent on eating. In order for the medicine to be quickly absorbed by the body, it should be washed down with a large volume of liquid (it is recommended to use simple water with room temperature for this).
During the treatment of increased blood pressure, a day consumed either 0.5 tablets with a volume of 30 mg or 2 tablets with a volume of 7.5 mg. Multiplicity of receptions per day - one-time or two-fold.
To treat disorders of water-electrolyte balance, you should start taking the drug with a minimum effective dose - 0.5 tablets per day. This scheme is due to the peculiarities of treatment with ACE inhibitors, in which it is necessary to optimize the water or electrolyte balance, and also completely stop the therapy with diuretics several days before the start of use of Zokaridis. If required, the size of the portion of the drug may be reduced to a quarter of the tablet per day.
When treating people with disorders of liver activity in mild or moderate form, the size of the initial portion is half of the standard dosage prescribed for people with a healthy hepatic function.
If the patient has a disorder in the liver, it is strictly forbidden to use the medication.
For therapy with myocardial infarction in acute form, the drug is used in combination with additional agents. Use the drug should be maximum after 24 hours after the appearance of the patient's first signs of pathology. This treatment should last at least 1.5 months.
With a strong decrease in blood pressure during treatment, it is necessary to refrain from increasing the minimum dosage or even cancel the use of the drug. In people without symptoms of heart failure, therapy may end after 1.5 months of taking the medication.
Longer-term therapy is suggested for appointment to people with symptoms of left ventricular failure or general heart failure, as well as with elevated BP.

Prescribing Zokaridis to pregnant women is prohibited. Very carefully used during lactation.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- hypersensitivity to the active ingredient or excipients of the drug;

- disorders of hepatic activity;
- kidney failure in severe form;
- the presence of lesions in the arteries that feed both kidneys;
- stenosis of the mitral valve or stenosis of the aortic aorta;
- hyperkalemia;

Side effects of the zokardisa
Drug use can lead to a variety of side effects:
- violations of the CAS function: a decrease in blood pressure. Sometimes there are pain in the sternum. Most often angina develops, arrhythmia, syncope, tachycardia, as well as pain affecting the heart;

- the appearance of seizures;
- development of stupor.
It should be remembered that with a sharp fall in the level of blood pressure, stroke, myocardial infarction, as well as collapse or complications of thrombolytic nature may develop. So, if you have the first symptoms of poisoning, you should consult a doctor to get timely medical help.
Interactions with other drugs
With the combined use of a medication with other therapeutic agents, such negative manifestations can occur:
- combination with analgesic, antipyretic, hypotensive, diuretic and anesthetic drugs leads to the development of antihypertensive effect;
- when combined with diuretics of potassium-sparing type, as well as with NSAIDs, the antihypertensive properties of drugs are weakened;
- when combined with lithium salts, inhibition of lithium secretion occurs;
- when taken together with cytostatics, alloprinol and immunosuppressants, there is an increase in the hematotoxicity of the drug.

Reviews
Zokaridis is often discussed in general topics, because now a large number of preparations of ACE inhibitors are offered on the market of drugs. In this case, patients basically compare the drug with its medicinal analogues.
Exceptionally negative feedback on the impact of drugs on the forums is extremely small, so you can say that the drug is quite effective. But at the same time, one should take into account that during therapy it is necessary to constantly contact with your doctor, because the patient subjectively feels changes in his condition, and for a sober and objective evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of medication, an experienced doctor is required.
