One of the effective medications used for erectile dysfunction is the drug Yohimbex-harmony, made from yohimbine, vitamin C, zinc oxide, sodium selenite and crushed ginseng rhizome.
Indications Yohimbex Harmony
The urological drug Yohimbex-harmony is prescribed for erectile dysfunction associated with the following cases:
- neurotic conditions;
- psychogenic copulatory disorders;
- mixed copulatory disorders;
- interoreceptive-psychogenic copulatory disorders;
- residual organic lesions of the central nervous system, which occur with background disorders of potency;
- states of asthenia and chronic fatigue syndrome;
- endocrine disorders;
- negative impact of ecology and radiation;
- age-related changes.
Pharmacodynamics
The main properties of the drug Yohimbex-harmony are associated with the presence of yohimbine, an alkaloid substance obtained from the bark of the African tree plant yohimbe. This substance is considered a selective blocker of presynaptic α-2-adrenoreceptors.
The effect of the active ingredient on the central nervous system occurs due to the stimulation of the function of the spinal nerve plexuses responsible for sexual activity, erectile function, and sperm formation.
Among other things, the active ingredient Yohimbex-harmony improves blood supply to the cavernous and spongy substance of the penis, and also acts as a means of stimulating sexual desire and erection. Additionally, the drug Yohimbex-harmony has a slight antidiuretic property.
The rhizome of ginseng has adaptogenic, tonic, immunomodulatory and psychostimulating properties. Ginseng also stabilizes the endocrine function. The action of ginseng is aimed at improving the physiological and biochemical reactions in the glandular system, increasing the sexual ability of men. At the same time, the work of the heart and blood vessels improves, the overall tone of the body and its resistance to the effects of negative external factors increases, liver function is potentiated, apathy and fatigue are eliminated.
The combination of yohimbine and ginseng rhizome enhances sexual desire and erection.
Vitamin C, selenium and zinc eliminate the consequences of glandular dysfunction, restore the glands, prevent degenerative disorders in the testicles and potentiate sperm production. The general type of action of the drug Yohimbex-harmony is immunomodulatory, adaptogenic, renewing and increasing libido.
Dosing and administration
The urological remedy Yohimbex-harmony is taken only orally, in the amount of 1 capsule 2-3 times a day, with food and a sufficient amount of liquid.
It is optimal to take the remedy in the second half of the day.
The duration of therapy with Yohimbex-harmony is determined individually: on average, it is 15-20 days.
If the doctor deems it necessary, he may prescribe a repeat course of therapy with the drug Yohimbex-harmony.
Use Yohimbex Harmony during pregnancy
The urological combination drug Yohimbex-harmony is intended for the treatment of only the male population.
Contraindications
The medicinal urological product Yohimbex-harmony is not prescribed:
- if you are prone to allergic reactions to any component of the drug;
- in case of severe liver and kidney damage;
- with simultaneous treatment with adrenergic drugs;
- if the patient is in a state of hypertensive crisis;
- for mental disorders;
- if the patient is in a state of critical nervous excitement.

Side effects Yohimbex Harmony
In rare cases, with prolonged treatment with Yohimbex-harmony, or with a chaotic increase in dosage, the following side effects may be observed:
- excessive excitement, sleep disorders, tremors in the limbs, dizziness, headaches;
- orthostatic decrease in blood pressure, increased heart rate, less often - short-term increase in blood pressure;
- loss of appetite, abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea and vomiting;
- manifestations of the antidiuretic effect of the drug, prolonged erection without sexual arousal;
- allergic processes.
Overdose
Signs of an overdose of Yohimbex-harmony may include the following symptoms:
- feeling of weakness;
- numbness of the limbs;
- disorders of memory processes and motor coordination;
- severe pain in the head;
- dizziness;
- trembling in hands and fingers;
- increased heart rate;
- increased blood pressure;
- a feeling of anxiety and fear;
- increase in the amount of norepinephrine in the blood serum;
- attacks of vomiting or nausea;
- mydriasis;
- lacrimation;
- hypersalivation;
- excessive sweating.
If there is a suspicion of an overdose of Yohimbex-Harmony, an antidote, Clonidine, is used.
In cases of severe elevation of blood pressure, a combination of a β-blocker and an α-blocker or a peripheral vasodilator may be appropriate.
Benzodiazepine drugs are prescribed to relieve anxiety.
The use of phenothiazine-type neuroleptic drugs is not recommended.

Interactions with other drugs
The medicinal product Yohimbex-harmony is not compatible with all medications.
Thus, the combination of Yohimbex-harmony with Clonidine leads to a mutual decrease in the effect of the drugs. Also, Yohimbex-harmony inhibits the effect of Alprazolam.
Yohimbex-harmony is not taken in combination with adrenomimetics (for example, ephedrine, adrenaline), as this may reduce their effect and increase blood pressure.
The combination of Yohimbex-harmony and antihypertensive drugs requires caution due to the possibility of a sudden decrease in blood pressure.
The combination of Yohimbex-harmony with antidepressants, nootropics, and psychostimulants leads to an increase in their effect.
Combination with Clomipramine leads to an increase in the amount of yohimbine in the blood serum.
Medicines containing iron or folic acid interfere with the absorption of zinc present in Yohimbex Harmony.
Shelf life
Yohimbex-harmony is good for 3 years.
