Vitrum Cardio is a complex vitamin and mineral preparation designed to replenish vitamin and mineral deficiencies. It is specially designed to maintain the health of the heart and blood vessels, as well as for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and atherosclerosis. The preparation includes such components as oat bran, ground plantain seeds, soy lecithin, chromium yeast, fish oil, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, D3, E, folic acid, calcium pantothenate, beta-sitosterol, selenium and zinc.
These components help to reduce blood cholesterol and glucose levels, normalize lipid metabolism, reduce cholesterol deposits on the walls of blood vessels, and also have antioxidant properties. In particular, oat bran and ground plantain seeds are sources of soluble dietary fiber, which helps to reduce cholesterol and blood glucose. Soy lecithin normalizes cholesterol metabolism, beta-sitosterol lowers cholesterol levels, and fish oil provides the body with polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids, which have antisclerotic and antithrombotic effects. In addition, vitamins A, C and E prevent oxidation of fatty acids, thus protecting blood vessels from atherosclerosis.
