Vinilin is an effective and time-tested drug for stomatitis. Its effectiveness is due to its properties - restorative, cleansing, antimicrobial. In addition, it helps relieve inflammation and promotes epithelialization of the oral mucosa, as a result of which the healing process is accelerated.

Indications vinylline for stomatitis

Indications for the use of the drug include stomatitis of various forms and stages (viral, traumatic, allergic).

Release form

For the treatment of stomatitis, a balm for external use is used. It is available in bottles of 50 or 100 g.

Pharmacodynamics

The medicine is a polyvinyl butyl ether, the active ingredient of which is the substance polyvinox.

In the process of treating traumatic or infectious forms of stomatitis, Vinilin has the following effect:

  • disinfects wounds formed on the mucous membrane of the mouth and tongue;
  • prevents viruses and bacteria from entering erosive and inflamed areas;
  • restores the epithelium and heals wounds, accelerating this process;
  • reduces the pain that the patient feels during meals.

Vinilin is able to have an enveloping effect on the affected mucous membrane of the mouth, as well as the stomach, thereby preventing the development of an allergic form of stomatitis.

Dosing and administration

Stomatitis is treated in the same way in children and adults - for this, you need to treat the oral cavity with medicine immediately after eating. The procedure can also be performed on an empty stomach, but in this case, after it is carried out, you must not eat anything for at least 40 minutes.

The treatment is carried out with a gauze or cotton swab, on which a little balm should be applied. The affected areas of the mucous membrane can be treated pointwise, but the method of treating the entire surface can also be used.

This procedure should be repeated at least three times a day, with a 2-3 hour interval between them. The course should last until complete recovery. And even when the wounds disappear, the mucous membrane should be treated with Vinilin 1-2 more times – as a preventative measure against relapse.

Vinilin for stomatitis in children

It is prohibited to use Vinilin for children under 14 years of age. Although many parents are confident that it can be used in childhood, and some doctors even recommend using it, it is still not worth the risk.
