The vial contains the active component tetryzoline, which has an anti-edematous and anti-allergic effect. After local use, the medication stimulates the activity of α-adrenergic receptors of the autonomic nervous system, leading to vasoconstriction and weakening of tissue edema. The medication reduces burning, pain, irritation, lacrimation and itching.
The vasoconstrictor effect of the drug begins within a few minutes of use. The medicinal effect lasts up to 4 hours.
The vial does not change the size of the pupil.
