Tantum rose does not affect the synthesis of cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase, which serves as the prevention of a large number of adverse events.

Tantum rose lowers the receptivity of pain receptors located in the area of inflammation, and also affects the regulation of pain reaction in the centers that are in the thalamus.

The drug has the most vivid antiseptic properties in relation to such a microorganism as Gardnerella vaginalis.

Pharmacokinetics

It was found that the active ingredient of Tantum rose accumulates on the intravaginal epithelium, reaching a peak concentration of 9.7 (± 6.24) μg / g. Slow absorption through the mucosal tissue explains the presence of a small amount of the drug in the serum. Such amounts are considered insufficient to develop systemic drug effects.
