Indications Septolet
It is used in the treatment of diseases affecting the throat and oral cavity, and having an infectious and inflammatory origin: tonsillitis, pharyngitis with laryngitis and inflammation of the gums or oral cavity.
Release form
The product is produced in tablet form, in the amount of 30 pieces per box.
Pharmacodynamics
Benzalkonium chloride with thymol helps to destroy pathogenic microbes.
Menthol with essential oils reduces inflammation, reduces pain and eliminates discomfort when swallowing. Eucalyptus oil helps ease the breathing process.
The active ingredients of the medicine are released gradually. The drug has a pleasant taste, it helps to relieve cough and prevents the spread of the infectious process.
Dosing and administration
The lozenge with the medicine must be sucked, holding it in the mouth until it is completely dissolved. The tablets must be taken at intervals of 2-3 hours.
Dosage portion sizes used in treatment:
- for teenagers over 12 years of age and adults, the daily dosage is no more than 8 lozenges;
- children aged 10-12 years are required to take up to 6 tablets per day;
- Children aged 4-10 years are allowed to consume no more than 4 lozenges of the medicine per day.
It is forbidden to take tablets before meals or with milk.

Use Septolet during pregnancy
Use of the drug during lactation or pregnancy is permitted only with the permission of the attending physician.
Contraindications
Main contraindications:
- the presence of intolerance to any of the elements of the therapeutic agent;
- fructosemia, galactosemia, and also a deficiency in the body of such enzymes as lactase or isomaltase;
- malabsorption of glucose-galactose.
Side effects Septolet
The use of drugs can provoke the appearance of allergy symptoms, and in addition, the development of nausea with vomiting (usually occurs with drug intoxication).
Overdose
Drug poisoning can lead to vomiting, diarrhea, or nausea.
Symptomatic procedures are required to eliminate the disorders.
Interactions with other drugs
It is recommended to avoid combination with other antiseptic drugs, the tablets of which also need to be dissolved.

Storage conditions
Septolete needs to be kept in a dark place where sunlight does not penetrate. The temperature level should not exceed 25°C.

Shelf life
Septolete can be used within 24 months from the date of manufacture of the drug.
Application for children
Children under 4 years of age are prohibited from using Septolete.
Analogues
Analogues of the drug are Faringosept, Lorsept and Dr. Theiss Angi Sept with Halset.
