Saridon is a combined drug, the healing effects of which are determined by the properties of its constituent components. It has an analgesic and antipyretic effect on the body.

Indications Saridon
Indications for prescribing the drug include:
- moderate or mild pain of various origins (including migraines, toothaches or headaches, as well as dysmenorrhea);
- feverish conditions due to flu or colds (sharp increase in temperature).
Pharmacodynamics
Paracetamol has antipyretic, analgesic and weak anti-inflammatory properties. They are due to the predominant effect on the thermoregulation center located in the hypothalamus, and in addition to this, a weaker ability to inhibit the processes of PG synthesis.
Propyphenazone has analgesic properties.
Caffeine stimulates the activity of the vasomotor and respiratory centers, and in addition increases vascular tone inside the brain, dilates blood vessels in the skeletal muscles, kidneys and heart. It also reduces the strength of platelet adhesion. This substance suppresses the feeling of drowsiness and increases the body's performance (both physical and mental).

Dosing and administration
The medicine should be taken orally. For adults, the dosage is usually 1 tablet 3-4 times a day. The maximum an adult can take at a time is 2 tablets, and no more than 6 tablets are allowed per day.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 3 days (as an antipyretic) or 5 days (as an analgesic). The maximum duration of the treatment course cannot exceed 10 days.
For adolescents aged 12-18 years, the medicine is prescribed in a dosage of 0.5-1 tablet 2-3 times a day.
The medicine should be taken immediately after a meal (wash down the tablet with water).

Use Saridon during pregnancy
It is not recommended to use during lactation and pregnancy.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- individual intolerance to the active components of the drug;
- severe disorders in the functioning of the liver or kidneys;
- genetic deficiency of G6PD in the body;
- the presence of anemia, and in addition glaucoma or leukopenia;
- a feeling of strong excitability;
- IHD, insomnia or angina pectoris;
- children under 12 years of age.
Side effects Saridon
As a result of taking the medicine, the following side effects may be observed: symptoms of skin allergies, vomiting with nausea, dizziness, increased bleeding, and in addition, the appearance of ulcers and erosions on the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract.

Overdose
Symptoms of acute overdose include: vomiting with nausea, pain in the stomach, increased sweating, tachycardia, and pale skin.
In this case, the patient needs gastric lavage and also intake of adsorbents. Then you should consult a doctor.
Interactions with other drugs
It is necessary to avoid combining Saridon with anticonvulsants, barbiturates, and also with carbamazepine, as well as rifampicin and alcoholic beverages.
Metoclopramide increases the rate of absorption of paracetamol, and caffeine increases the rate of absorption of ergotamine.
Propiphenazone increases the effectiveness of oral antidiabetic drugs, as well as anticoagulants. At the same time, on the contrary, it reduces the strength of potassium-sparing diuretics.

Storage conditions
The medicine should be kept in standard conditions for medicinal products - a place closed from light and moisture, inaccessible to children. Temperature conditions - maximum 30°C.

Shelf life
Saridon is permitted to be used for 5 years from the date of manufacture of the drug.
