Non-traditional methods of treatment of colds involve the use of various ingredients with medicinal properties.
Sage with milk from cough is used for the first symptoms of respiratory pathologies.
Useful properties of sage:
- Strong antiseptic and expectorant effect.
- Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect.
- High content of vitamins, minerals and other microelements.
Also in the plant is a natural antibiotic - salvin, which accelerates the healing process, has bactericidal and anti-inflammatory properties.
Recipes based on milk with medicinal sage:
- Take a tablespoon of dry herbs, a glass of milk and water, honey, sugar. Pour the grass with a glass of steep boiling water and let it brew for 20-30 minutes. Strain and add boiled milk. Use infusion in a warm form, in small sips throughout the day. To improve the taste, honey and sugar can be added to the product.
- Brew the herb with boiling milk and breathe over the vapors under the sheet or towel. Then take inside ½ cup warm milk with a spoonful of honey.
Like any herbal remedy with medicinal properties, sage has certain contraindications. The plant can cause seizures in children, cause uterine contraction during pregnancy, reduce lactation and increase blood pressure. It is not accepted for violations of the thyroid function and diseases of the urinary system.
One of the most effective herbal remedies for colds is a thyme with milk from a cough. The beneficial effect of thyme (thyme) in the respiratory system is explained by its rich vitamin composition. The plant destroys various pathogens, reduces the inflammatory process and speeds up the expectoration process.
Thyme in combination with a milk drink is used to treat such diseases:
- Perch.
- Bronchitis.
- Bronchial asthma.
- Inflammation of the lungs.
- Seasonal cold and other pathologies.
Most often for treatment use this recipe: two teaspoons of dried thyme pour a glass of milk. Put the mixture in a water bath for 30 minutes. After cooling, strain and take ½ cup in small sips. You can add a spoonful of honey to the drink.
With special care, thyme should be used to treat children. Grass is contraindicated for pregnant women, as it increases the uterine tone and is not recommended for patients with liver and kidney disease.
