Pharmacodynamics
The drug is of vegetable origin. It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and in addition anti-rheumatic properties, acting in the treatment of diseases of the ODA. The main active elements of the roots of Harpagophyitum procumbens are iridoids (such as the prokambin with harpagoside, and in addition harpagid with 8-r-kumaroylgarpagid).
Due to the fact that it was not possible to identify all the active components of drugs today, the whole extract is considered as a therapeutically active ingredient. During in vitro tests, the effect of Harpagophyitum procumbens root extract, as well as the elements extracted from it, on the biosynthesis of eicosanoids was noted.
The element harpagozid (the severity of the effect is determined by the size of the dose of LS) inhibits the biosynthesis of LT and TX2 components; in particular, the binding of Cys-LTs is inhibited. But studies show that the extract has a higher efficacy - this indicates a synergistic complementary effect of anti-inflammatory substances. The overwhelming effect of flavonoids (they are also part of the extract) with regard to the binding of PG is known for a long time.
Camphoric oil with luteolin, which are part of the drug, in combination with bile, as well as tannic acids have an inhibitory effect on collagen hydrolysis caused by the activity of collagenase. Animal tests have demonstrated a general anti-inflammatory effect in preparations based on the root Harpagophyitum procumbens (tea and extract). It should be noted that the anti-inflammatory effect of drugs is more pronounced if the patient has chronic forms of inflammation (in comparison with acute).
With respect to pain, in which the effect of reducing pain is noted regardless of the treatment method used, it is possible that the drug has a peripheral analgesic effect.
Dosing and administration
The drug is taken three times a day, one-time portion is 1-2 capsules (adolescents over 12 years old, as well as adults). Children from 6 years old must take 1 capsule 3 times a day. Use capsules before eating. In this case, they can not be chewed-swallowed whole and washed with water.
The course of therapy usually lasts for 1-1.5 months, but for chronic diseases it can last longer. Interrupt therapy prematurely prohibited.

Contraindications

Shelf life
Rev.-capsules DR.YAYSS allowed to use for 3 years from the date of release of the drug.
