Readon is a multivitamin medicinal complex that does not contain any additives.

Indications Readona

The medicine is used to eliminate hypo- or avitaminosis developing against the background of a deficiency of retinol, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine, ascorbic acid, cholecalciferol and tocopherol, and in addition to this, for types of vitamin deficiency that do not have an exact diagnosis (this includes a deficiency of other vitamins from category B).

Readon should be administered intravenously, slowly, in the following cases:

  • in the combined treatment of severe stages of eating disorders (hunger disease (also neurogenic forms of pathology) and exhaustion);
  • during the convalescent period in cases of inflammation, burns and infections (such as pleurisy, pneumonia or hepatitis (and its complications, such as liver cirrhosis));
  • for vegetative and nervous disorders that occur after a stroke;
  • treatment of endocrine pathologies (diabetes in elderly patients), as well as their complications (such as diabetic neuropathy);
  • in case of delayed tissue healing due to injuries, wounds, fractures or after surgical operations, and also as part of combined treatment measures during the postoperative period.

Release form

The release occurs in the form of an infusion medicinal solution, in ampoules with a volume of 10 ml. Inside the package there are 5 such ampoules.

Pharmacodynamics

Readon is a complex product containing water- and fat-soluble vitamins.

Retinol is used to treat eye pathologies, vitamin deficiency, hypotrophy, acute respiratory viral infections, epithelial diseases and lesions, burns, and in combination with other drugs in the treatment of rickets. The substance helps restore the integrity of the skin.

Thiamine ensures normal function of the nervous system, heart, gastrointestinal tract, and endocrine glands. The component has a moderate ganglionic blocking effect and is also involved in the processes of transmitting nerve impulses within synapses.

Riboflavin is an important participant in metabolic processes (it is a coenzyme). The vitamin stabilizes protein and fat metabolism, and in addition helps maintain stable visual activity and hemoglobin binding processes.

Niacin is an important coenzyme in metabolic processes. It stimulates the brain, digestive system, cardiovascular system, and systemic blood flow.

Calcium pantothenate plays an important role in the metabolism (as a coenzyme) of fats and glucose. It has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

Pyridoxine is necessary for the exchange of lipids and amino acids with carbohydrates. It helps the stable functioning of the central and peripheral nervous systems.

Ascorbic acid strengthens the body's immunity, promotes healing of wound surfaces and metabolism of collagen, and also helps to stabilize tissue metabolism. The substance also strengthens the body's adaptive capabilities in relation to unfavorable external factors - such as poisoning, infections, hypothermia, etc.

Cholecalciferol maintains calcium homeostasis, helps bone mineralization. Helps eliminate spasmophilia, rickets, and also osteopathy of metabolic nature.

Tocopherol is an antioxidant. It participates in the processes of protein binding to heme and cell proliferation, prevents erythrocyte hemolysis. It is prescribed in combination therapy for atherosclerosis, CHF, coronary insufficiency and in the period before and after a heart attack. It has cardiotonic and cardiotrophic properties.

Dosing and administration

Readon can be used only in hospitals. The solution will be ready for use immediately after diluting the required portion of the drug in a 5% glucose solution or saline (proportions - 1:50 or 1:100). Such an infusion should last at least 1 hour, but not longer than 4 hours.

The medicine must be administered intravenously. The portion size is calculated taking into account the level of vitamin deficiency, as well as the daily needs of the patient's body.

Overdose

In case of poisoning, the following symptoms are observed: nausea, convulsions, dizziness, and also bradycardia and arrhythmia.

To eliminate these manifestations, symptomatic treatment procedures are required.

Interactions with other drugs

There is information that certain vitamins can weaken the activity of some antibiotics. Niacin with thiamine, pyridoxine with riboflavin, and ascorbic acid significantly reduce the activity of such drugs as kanamycin with doxycycline, erythromycin with lincomycin, and streptomycin.

When combined with riboflavin or ascorbic acid, the bleomycin element is inactivated in vitro.

Readon weakens the antiparkinsonian effect of levodopa.

The drug should be used with caution in combination with anticonvulsants containing phenytoin, phenobarbital or primidone.
