Indications Paris
In tablets, the dosage of which is 10 mg, is used to treat dyspepsia, triggered by high indices of gastric pH, against the background of which acidic regurgitation with heartburn is noted.
The drug at a dose of 20 mg is used in the following cases:
- aggravated ulcers in the gastrointestinal tract;
- GERD, having a ulcerative or erosive nature;
- GERD non-erosive nature;
- maintenance treatment for GERD;
- gastrinoma, as well as conditions observed on the background of disease hypersecretion;
- the destruction of the helicobacter pylori bacteria in people with ulcers.

Pharmacodynamics
The element rabeprazole is an anti-secretory agent that is a benzimidazole derivative. It inhibits the secretion of gastric juice, specifically slowing down the activity of H + / K + -ATPase on the secretory surface of the parietal glandulocytes inside the gastrointestinal tract.
H + / K + -ATPase is a protein complex working on the mechanism of the proton pump. This allows us to conclude that rabeprazole sodium is an agent that slows down the activity of the gastric proton pump, which blocks the final stage of acid production. This effect is considered to be dependent on the size of the portion and provokes the inhibition of the processes of stimulated and basal acid production (the stimulating bacterium does not matter).
Rabeprazole sodium does not have an anticholinergic effect.
Pharmacokinetics
The absorption of substances from the gastrointestinal tract is carried out at a fairly high speed. Because of this, the achievement of Cmax values of the drug is observed already after 3.5 hours (in the case of a dosage of 20 mg). Indicators of absolute bioavailability - about 52%. Reuse of medication does not change the values of bioavailability.
Protein synthesis of rabeprazole inside the plasma is 97%. Most of the substance is excreted in the urine (mainly in the form of metabolic products - mercapturic acid conjugate, as well as carboxylic acid and other elements). Excretion of the remainder of the drug is carried out with bile and feces.
Dosing and administration
Pills are taken orally, swallowing whole. It should be noted that the activity of rabeprazole does not change in any way from food intake, as well as the time of drug use.
The drug in a dosage of 10 mg is consumed in the amount of 1 tablet per day (it is recommended to do this in the morning before a meal, because it enhances its therapeutic efficacy).
Tablets with a volume of 20 mg are used in the case of gastrointestinal diseases that occur with complications, because of which they can be used for various disorders only with the appointment of a specialist. In addition, in case of different pathologies, not only the dosage regimen and treatment regimen are selected, but also its duration. In this regard, it is prohibited to use Pariet independently, without a medical prescription.
Use Paris during pregnancy
Apply Pariet during lactation or pregnancy is prohibited.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated to use the drug in the presence of intolerance against rabeprazole.

Side effects Paris
Available clinical data allow us to conclude that often the drug is transferred without complications. Occurring adverse symptoms are often mild and disappear rather quickly. These include bloating, dryness of the oral mucosa, headache or abdominal pain, rash, dizziness, constipation, peripheral puffiness, and so on.
Overdose
Previously, cases of poisoning with Pariet were not recorded, but the possibility of its development cannot be completely excluded. It is believed that the use of large dosages of drugs may occur potentiation of the severity of negative symptoms.
Symptoms are performed with the appearance of disorders.

Interactions with other drugs
Often, the use of this drug in combination with other drugs does not cause significant therapeutic interaction. But keep in mind that rabeprazole sodium has a long and sustained inhibitory effect on the process of production of gastric juice. This can lead to the development of interactions with elements whose absorption depends on pH values.
The combination with ketoconazole leads to a decrease in its absorption by 30%, while in digoxin this figure increases by 22%. In this regard, it is required to adjust the portions of these drugs in the direction of decrease or increase.
The combined use of drugs with fatty foods inhibits its absorption for 4+ hours, while not affecting its performance inside the body. Combining the drug with methotrexate, especially in high doses, increases the performance of the latter (or indicators of its metabolic product, hydroxymetotrexate) almost doubled.
Shelf life
Application for children
The medicine in a portion of 10 mg is prohibited for use in children younger than 12 years of age, and in a portion of 20 mg - up to the 18th anniversary.
Analogs
Analogues of drugs are such drugs as Famotidine, Rabeprazole, Ranitidine with Omeprazole, as well as Nexium and others.

Reviews
Pariet is often discussed in light of its therapeutic efficacy. It is known that the drug is used for the treatment of ulcers, gastritis, heartburn, and so on. It is noted that even a temporary decrease in the level of acidity contributes to the restoration of the gastrointestinal tract.
But not all reviews of those who used this medicine are positive. There are comments that indicate that therapy with its use did not produce a result - heartburn and pain did not disappear. Experts believe that the cause may be an incorrect diagnosis or an incorrectly chosen drug use regimen. Therefore, in such cases, it is recommended to consult a doctor to clarify the reasons for the lack of the desired effect.
