Paramin is an anti-tuberculosis drug.

Pharmacodynamics

The active element of the drug is sodium aminosalicylate. The drug has a bacteriostatic effect against tuberculous mycobacteria.

Often, Paramin is combined with other anti-tuberculosis drugs (such as tubazid and other drugs GINK, and in addition kanamycin with cycloserine).

Due to complex treatment, it is possible to delay the development of drug addiction and to increase the therapeutic effect of antituberculous drugs.

When used in large portions, the drug has an antithyroid effect.

Pharmacokinetics

The size of the adult dose is 5 grams of medication, with a 2-3-fold intake per day.

The dosage rate for children weighing from 40 kg is 5 g of substance with twice daily intake.
