Indications of the pantokaltsyna
It is used in adults in the following cases:
- at problems with memory, concentration disorder, and at the same time with worsening of working capacity in connection with constant stress, and also at strong physical and psychoemotional loads;
- for the combined treatment of epilepsy (also with the development of a slowing down of mental processes on its background);
- with problems with urination (of a neurogenic origin), including night / day urinary incontinence, as well as pollakiuria;
- combined treatment of senile dementia;
- with abnormalities of the NA, against which there are painful sensations (osteochondrosis in the cervical vertebrae) and trigeminal neuralgia;
- to eliminate the consequences of ITC;
- with complex therapy to eliminate the consequences of encephalitis or neuroinfection;
- complex therapy for cerebrovascular insufficiency, which develops against the background of atherosclerotic disorders in the cerebral vessels;
- complex treatment for schizophrenia;
- treatment of neuroleptic syndrome of hyper- or akinetic nature;
- with organic disturbances in the work of the brain, against which there are disorders of cognitive activity.
Children Pantokaltsin appoint:
- with different forms of cerebral palsy;
- for the complex treatment of epileptic seizures;
- with stuttering of a clonic character;
- with ADHD, against which the child develops convulsions and trembling limbs;
- when treating neuroses;
- with asthenic syndrome (or oligophrenia);
- to eliminate perinatal encephalopathy;
- when the child is delayed in intellectual, and besides mental development.
Release form
Release of the medicine occurs in tablets, 10 pieces inside the blister plate. In the box there are 5 such blisters. Also can be contained in jars - for 50 tablets.
Pharmacodynamics
The range of the drug's effect is due to the presence in its structure of the GABA element. The drug has neuroprotective, neurotrophic, as well as neurometabolic properties. Slows down the acetylation process that occurs when novocaine is inactivated with sulfonamides, which allows to prolong the exposure of these substances. Slows the reinforced due to the disease the bubble reflex and provokes the development of detrusor tonus.
It has analgesic effect, stabilizes GABA indices for alcohol poisoning (in chronic form), and at the same time improves the body's working capacity (intellectual and physical). The drug has an anticonvulsant effect.
Pantokalcin stimulates the anabolic processes carried out inside neurons, and in addition increases the resistance of the brain to hypoxia and the effect of toxins.
Pharmacokinetics
Pantokaltsin undergoes rapid absorption from the gastrointestinal tract. The peak plasma values of the active component are noted after the lapse of the first hour. The highest indices of the drug are observed inside the kidneys with the liver, and in addition to the gastric walls. The drug is not involved in metabolic processes.

Dosing and administration
Adults.
To treat hyperkinesis and epileptic seizures should use a daily dose of the drug, amounting to 1.5-3 g. The therapy should last 1-5 months. With epilepsy, treatment usually lasts 1 year.
With strong mental, psycho-emotional, and in addition to physical exertion it is necessary to use three times during the day - 0.25 g of drugs.
To eliminate the problems with the functioning of the brain, which have arisen because of the CCT or due to the development of neuroinfections, throughout the day it is required to take the medicine three times - to 0.25 g.
During therapy with schizophrenia, the patient takes 0.5 grams of medication three times a day for 1-3 months.
To eliminate the frustration of urination, take for the day 2 grams of Pantokaltsin. Duration of therapy: minimum 2 weeks, maximum - several months.
Prescribing the medicine to children.
To eliminate the problem with urination, the child should take 0.25-0.5 g of the drug per day for a minimum of 2 weeks. The medicine can be taken for a maximum of several months.
During the treatment of hyperkinesia and epilepsy take 0.25-0.5 g of Pantokalcin 3-5 times a day. This course lasts 1-4 months. In this case, with epilepsy, the drug must be taken within 1 year.
To treat delayed intellectual or speech development, as well as asthenic syndrome, the child should be given 0.5 g of the drug 3-6 times a day during the course of the course lasting 2-4 months.
Use of the pantokaltsyna during pregnancy
It is forbidden to use Pantokaltsin on the 1st trimester of pregnancy.
Contraindications
The main contraindication is the intolerance of the elements of the drug or derivatives of gepattenic acid, and in addition to this severe functional renal impairment.
Side effects of the pantokaltsyna
Usually the medicine is transferred without complications, only occasionally there may be allergic symptoms (such as urticaria, allergic rhinitis or itching).
Individual signs of such side effects as sensation of drowsiness, headaches and tinnitus are noted in patients.

Overdose
In the case of acute poisoning, signs of side effects may increase.
To get rid of the disorders, it requires gastric lavage, symptomatic therapy and the use of enterosorbents.
Interactions with other drugs
The effect of Pantokaltsin is potentiated when combined with glycine and xyediphon. The drug prevents the development of side effects of carbamazepine, neuroleptics, as well as phenobarbital. In addition, it also prolongs the effect of barbiturates and potentiates the effectiveness of local-type anesthetics, anticonvulsants and stimulants of CNS function.
