Orinol Plus is a systemic medication with antihistamine and decongestant activity. It is used to treat certain diseases affecting the nasal cavity.
Phenylephrine hydrochloride is an α-adrenergic agonist.
Phenyltoloxamine citrate is a substance that blocks the action of H1-endings of histamine; it also has anticholinergic and antihistamine properties.
The component chlorphenamine also blocks the activity of histamine H1-endings, and in addition demonstrates an intense anti-exudative effect.
Release form
The medicine is released in capsules, 10 pieces per box.
Pharmacodynamics
Phenylephrine hydrochloride, having a vasoconstrictor effect, reduces swelling of the mucous membranes in the upper respiratory tract, as well as in the paranasal sinuses.
Phenyltoloxamine citrate reduces lacrimation, rhinorrhea and other manifestations of allergies and colds that appear due to excessive exudation.
Chlorphenamine reduces swelling of the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract and eliminates symptoms such as sneezing, lacrimation, rhinitis and nasal itching.
Use Orinola Plus during pregnancy
Orinol Plus is not used during breastfeeding and pregnancy.
Contraindications
Among the contraindications:
- severe sensitivity associated with drug elements;
- excessively elevated blood pressure;
- closed-angle glaucoma;
- administration together with MAOIs.

Side effects Orinola Plus
Main side effects:
- systemic disorders: xerostomia, dry mucous membranes of the throat and nose, as well as epidermal rashes;
- problems with the functioning of the cardiovascular system: tachycardia, headaches and decreased blood pressure;
- disorders of the nervous system: dizziness, convulsions, agitation or sedation, insomnia, severe nervousness and decreased visual acuity;
- Gastrointestinal disorders: anorexia, constipation, stomach discomfort, vomiting, diarrhea and nausea;
- disorders affecting the urogenital tract: delayed or increased frequency of urination;
- respiratory disorders: hoarseness, a feeling of tightness inside the chest and nasal congestion.

Orinol Plus can be used for a period of 24 months from the date of manufacture of the therapeutic product.
