Onagris

Onagris is a medicine that is used to treat a variety of diseases related to sexual function. It acts as a hormone of the sex glands.

This is a natural remedy that helps with menopause, both for its treatment and as a prophylaxis of onset. It helps to eliminate the negative manifestations that occur during menopause: hot flashes with a sensation of heat, insomnia, heavy sweating at night and feelings of irritability. At the same time, it improves the condition of the epidermis (it has a moisturizing effect) and hairline (reduces loss), and also prevents dryness of the vaginal mucous membranes.

Indications Onagris

It is used for menopausal disorders, due to which vegetative signs develop (hot flashes, variability of blood pressure indicators, a feeling of heat and heartbeat), psychosomatic and mental manifestations (irritability, insomnia and deterioration of performance).

Onagris is used in combination regimens to prevent the development of cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis, which appear due to the lack of estrogen during the early phase of menopause.

The release of the drug substance is made in capsules - 15 pieces inside the package, 2 packs inside the box, or 20 pieces inside the plate, 3 plates per pack.

Pharmacodynamics

The therapeutic effect of drugs develops due to the estrogen-like activity of soybean isoflavonoid derivatives (components daidzein and genistein).

Soybean phytoestrogens have a diphenolic structure, which is observed in natural and artificial estrogens, because of which they can compete with them in relation to the corresponding endings inside the walls of target cells.

The principle of the influence of the drug is associated with the impact of phytoestrogens on β-estrogen endings (mostly); however, the effect on α-estrogen endings is 5–22 times weaker. Because of this, Onagris is much less likely to cause negative symptoms associated with effects on α-estrogen endings (uterine bleeding, hypercoagulation, endometrial hyperplasia, thromboembolic complications, and changes associated with the mammary glands), which distinguishes its from artificial estrogen drugs.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral use, soybean isoflavones become active inside the large intestine, cleaving the sugar area under the influence of the enzymes glycosidase of the intestinal microflora.

After passing through the process of deglycosation, daidzein with genistein is well absorbed and penetrates the liver, where partial conjugation of the element with glucuronic acid takes place. At the same time, the conjugated phytoestrogen fraction penetrates into the bile, and then - into the structure of the intrahepatic circulation, undergoing repeated absorption, due to which the drug has a long half-life and the possibility of 1-time use per day.

Plasma Cmax values of phytoestrogens equal to 0.04-2.4 µmol / l, depending on the diet to be observed (the indicator rises if the patient follows vegetarianism by eating foods high in soy).

Excretion of daidzein with genistein is carried out more with urine. Indicators of Cmax of phytoestrogens inside the urine are noted after 24 hours from the time of use of the drug. In an unchanged state about 30% of the taken isoflavones are excreted.

Dosing and administration

The drug is taken on the 1st capsule per day. Clinical effects usually develop after 14 days from the start of therapy. With a weak relief of the manifestations of the disease, the daily portion is increased to 2 capsules: one each in the morning and evening. To last such a therapeutic course should be at least 4 months.

In order to fully control the manifestations of estrogen deficiency, and in addition with combined use to prevent the development of osteoporosis and cardiovascular diseases, the medication can be used for a long time (within 4-7 years). Use Onagris during pregnancy

Soybean phytoestrogens are prohibited from prescribing during breastfeeding or pregnancy.

Contraindications

The main contraindications:

• strong sensitivity to drug elements;
• tumors in the area of the mammary glands and uterus, which are malignant in nature (before radical therapy).

Side effects Onagris

The drug is usually tolerated without the appearance of complications, adverse symptoms develop only rarely.

Sometimes there are dyspeptic disorders - pain in the abdominal area, bloating and diarrhea.

There may be signs of allergy, vaginal discharge (sometimes with blood), bleeding from the uterus, hypercoagulation, and also complications of a thromboembolic nature, endometrial hyperplasia, and changes associated with the mammary glands.

Overdose

Soybean phytoestrogens do not have toxicity, which is why even a significant overdose with them is unlikely to lead to the appearance of pronounced signs of intoxication. There are single dyspeptic disorders and headaches.

Interactions with other drugs

With the combination of Onagris with antibacterial substances, the clinical effect of the drug may be reduced.

Onagris is not used in pediatrics.
