Onagris is a medicine used to treat various diseases related to sexual function. It acts as a hormone of the sex glands.

This is a natural remedy that helps with menopause - both for its treatment and as a preventative measure. It helps eliminate the negative symptoms that occur during menopause: hot flashes, insomnia, heavy sweating at night and irritability. At the same time, it improves the condition of the epidermis (has a moisturizing effect) and hair (reduces hair loss), and also prevents dryness of the vaginal mucosa.

Indications Onagrisa

It is used for climacteric disorders, due to which vegetative symptoms (hot flashes, variability of blood pressure, feeling of heat and palpitations), psychosomatic and mental manifestations (feeling of irritability, insomnia and deterioration of performance) develop.

Onagris is used in combination regimens to prevent the development of cardiovascular diseases and osteoporosis, which occur due to a lack of estrogen during the early phase of menopause.

Release form

The medicinal substance is released in capsules - 15 pieces per package, 2 packages per box, or 20 pieces per plate, 3 plates per pack.

Pharmacodynamics

The therapeutic effect of the drug develops due to the estrogen-like activity of soy isoflavonoid derivatives (components of daidzein and genistein).

Soy phytoestrogens have a diphenolic structure, which is observed in natural and artificial estrogens, due to which they can compete with them for the corresponding endings inside the walls of target cells.

The principle of the drug's effect is related to the effect of phytoestrogens on β-estrogen endings (mainly); however, the effect on α-estrogen endings is 5-22 times weaker. Because of this, Onagris causes much less negative symptoms related to the effect on α-estrogen endings (uterine bleeding, hypercoagulation, endometrial hyperplasia, thromboembolic complications, as well as changes related to the mammary glands), which distinguishes it from artificial estrogen drugs.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral use, soy isoflavonoids begin to actively act in the colon, breaking down the sugar region under the influence of glycosidase enzymes of the intestinal microflora.

After undergoing the deglycosylation process, daidzein and genistein are well absorbed and penetrate into the liver, where partial conjugation of the element with glucuronic acid occurs. In this case, the conjugated phytoestrogen fraction penetrates into the bile, and then into the structure of the intrahepatic circulation, undergoing repeated absorption, due to which the drug has a long half-life and the possibility of 1-time use per day.

Plasma Cmax values of phytoestrogens are 0.04-2.4 μmol/l, depending on the diet followed (the indicator increases if the patient is a vegetarian, consuming products with a high soy content).

Excretion of daidzein with genistein occurs to a greater extent with urine. Cmax values of phytoestrogens in urine are noted after 24 hours from the moment of drug use. About 30% of the taken isoflavonoids are excreted unchanged.

Dosing and administration

The medicine is taken 1 capsule per day. The clinical effect usually develops after 14 days from the start of therapy. If the symptoms of the disease are weakly relieved, the daily dose is increased to 2 capsules: one in the morning and one in the evening. Such a therapeutic course should last at least 4 months.

In order to fully control the manifestations of estrogen deficiency, and in addition to this, when used in combination to prevent the development of osteoporosis and cardiovascular diseases, the drug can be used for a long time (within 4-7 years). If long-term use is required, it is necessary to first consult a medical specialist.

In such disorders, it is necessary to monitor the patient's condition and carry out symptomatic measures.

Interactions with other drugs
