Neurosal belongs to the group of sleeping pills that have sedative properties.

Indications Neurozala

It is used as part of a combination treatment for the following disorders:

  • depressive states of mild or moderate severity;
  • dysthymia;
  • anxiety states of a generalized nature;
  • neurasthenia, which is characterized by feelings of anxiety, absent-mindedness, irritation, fatigue and fear, as well as mental exhaustion and memory impairment;
  • conditions during which a person is constantly under mental stress (the so-called “burnout” syndrome);
  • mild stages of insomnia;
  • headaches or migraines caused by nervous tension or increased excitation of a neuromuscular nature;
  • menopause;
  • NCD;
  • dermatoses that are itchy (seborrheic or atopic eczema or urticaria).

Release form

The drug is released in the form of syrup, in 100 g bottles. The pack contains 1 such bottle.

Pharmacodynamics

The components that make up the drug lead to the development of antidepressant and sedative effects, which are especially effective during female menopause.

St. John's wort is used to treat gastrointestinal disorders, depression, diseases affecting the respiratory tract, and headaches.

Hops have a calming effect in cases of agitation, insomnia, neurosis of the nervous system and mild depression. In addition, it has an anti-inflammatory effect.

Dosing and administration

For adults and adolescents, when treating digestive disorders, the dose is 1 teaspoon of syrup (5 ml) taken 3 times a day, during meals (it is allowed to increase the 1-time dose to 10 ml).

If unwanted sluggishness occurs, take 0.5 teaspoon (2.5 ml) in the morning and then during the day, and also 1 teaspoon (5 ml) in the evening.

If a person is about to undergo some strong emotional stress, approximately 20-30 minutes before such an event, one should take 5-10 ml of syrup once.

The medicine can be taken in its pure form or diluted in tea or plain water. The bottle with syrup should be shaken before taking.

Use Neurozala during pregnancy

Taking the syrup during lactation or pregnancy is prohibited.

Contraindications

Contraindicated for use in cases of intolerance to the components of the drug, as well as in cases of myasthenia.

Side effects Neurozala

Individual patients may feel drowsy, lethargic, or tired, and may also experience decreased concentration, nausea, constipation, heartburn, and vomiting. Cramps, itching, dizziness, muscle weakness, and rash may also occur.

Overdose

In case of intoxication, the following negative manifestations occur: a feeling of lethargy, fatigue or drowsiness, convulsions, vomiting, dizziness and decreased concentration, nausea, as well as itching, heartburn, muscle weakness, rashes and constipation.

Symptomatic procedures are used to treat such disorders.

Interactions with other drugs

Because it contains St. John's wort extract, it is forbidden to combine the drug with the following antidepressants - SSRIs and MAOIs. It is allowed to use Nevrozal only after 14 days from the moment of stopping the use of the above medications.

When the drug is used simultaneously with narcotic substances, negative interactions may occur.

Storage conditions

Nevrozal should be kept in a dark and dry place, out of the reach of small children. Temperature values are a maximum of 25°C.

Shelf life

Nevrozal can be used within 36 months from the date of manufacture of the medicinal substance. However, the shelf life of an opened bottle of syrup is only 21 days.

Application for children

Nevrozal is not used in pediatrics – it is prescribed to children under 12 years of age.
