Indications Neuro-norm

It is used for cerebral diseases of a chronic or acute nature (including encephalopathy and ischemic stroke), and also at the stage after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke and in cases of comatose and subcomatose conditions in people with head injuries or poisoning.

The drug is used for the prevention and treatment of the consequences of traumatic brain injury, Meniere's disease, or migraines and disorders of the vestibular apparatus, which are accompanied by tinnitus, nausea, nystagmus, and dizziness.

Prescribed for complex treatment of infections and inflammations affecting the central nervous system.

Neuro-norm is used in children with intellectual disabilities to improve their ability to remember and learn, and at the same time in people with psychogenic etiology of the asthenic variety of syndrome, which causes severe irritability, anxiety and emotional instability, and at the same time, memory and attention deteriorate.

The drug should be used in individuals in whom the use of piracetam in monotherapy causes increased excitability and insomnia.

Pharmacodynamics

Neuro-norm helps to stabilize microcirculation, improving rheological blood characteristics and exerting an antivasoconstrictive effect. The active components of the drug - piracetam with cinnarizine - have complementary properties.

Piracetam is a cyclic derivative of the GABA component. It helps improve memory and learning ability, as well as concentration. At the same time, it stimulates mental performance processes.

The substance regulates the speed of movement of excitatory cerebral impulses, stimulates metabolic processes in the area of nerve tissue and helps improve synaptic transport within neocortical structures and synthesis between the cerebral hemispheres. Also, piracetam, having an effect on rheological blood parameters, improves microcirculation without having a strong vasodilatory effect.

Cinnarizine is an element that helps improve microcirculation inside the cerebral vessels. The principle of the component's influence is based on the ability to block Ca channels and the ability to increase the resistance of vascular membranes to vasoconstrictors (serotonin and norepinephrine among them).

Cinnarizine helps improve microcirculation, but does not change blood pressure and heart rate. In addition, long-term administration of cinnarizine increases the elasticity of red blood cell walls and reduces blood viscosity, which improves brain function and microcirculation processes.

The substance, when used over a long period of time, helps improve the condition of brain cells during hypoxia and reduces stimulation of the vestibular apparatus.

Administration of the drug to individuals with cerebral disorders results in improved cognitive abilities and concentration.

The medication relieves dizziness that occurs due to hypoxia and increased excitation of the vestibular apparatus.

Pharmacokinetics

When the substance is taken orally, the plasma Cmax values of piracetam with cinnarizine are noted after 1-4 hours. A noticeable medicinal effect is recorded after 1-6 hours.

The active components of the drug have the ability to pass through the blood-brain barrier. Cinnarizine undergoes almost completely metabolic processes, and piracetam is excreted unchanged.

The half-life of cinnarizine is 3-6 hours, and piracetam is 4-6 hours. Piracetam is excreted mainly through the intestines, and cinnarizine and about 30% of piracetam are excreted through the kidneys.
