It is also produced as an injection liquid, inside ampoules with a capacity of 2 or 5 ml, 20, 50 or 100 pieces inside a box, together with a knife designed to open the cells with ampoules.
Pharmacodynamics
Because the drug is an antioxidant from the heteroaromatic subgroup, it has a wide range of activity. The drug increases the body's resistance to stress. During its use, an anxiolytic effect develops, which is not accompanied by the appearance of drowsiness or muscle relaxant effects.
At the same time, the medicine weakens and prevents the occurrence of learning and memory disorders, has anticonvulsant and nootropic activity in the elderly. Its antioxidant antihypoxic effects increase concentration and performance, and in addition, reduce the negative toxic effects of alcohol to a minimum.
The drug has a positive effect on brain tissue and systemic circulation, stimulating blood microcirculation and platelet aggregation. The powerful hypolipidemic effect of Mexiprim helps reduce cholesterol levels.
After entering the body, the drug quickly undergoes metabolic processes and is converted into glucuronide-conjugated metabolic elements.
Dosing and administration
The tablets must be taken orally, in a dose that is individually selected for the patient by the doctor (taking into account all the characteristics of the body), 2-3 times a day. Therapy should be started with a dose of 250-500 mg. It is recommended to use no more than 800 mg of the medicinal substance per day.
The duration of the treatment cycle depends on the intensity of the pathology and its type, as well as the severity of the patient's condition, and can vary within 5 days/6 weeks. The dosage portion should be reduced gradually, over the last 2-3 days of the therapeutic cycle.
Injections of the drug are administered intravenously (by jet or through a dropper) or intramuscularly, 1-3 times per day. The dose size of the drug is selected individually for each individual. If the drug is administered by infusion, it is first dissolved in NaCl liquid. Usually, the first injections require a dose of no more than 0.1 g, and then it is gradually increased.
The duration of the treatment cycle using injection fluid is determined by the patient's health condition and the intensity of the disease. It usually lasts for 7-30 days.
