Recutan is a dermatological drug.

Indications Recutana

It is used in monotherapy and combination treatment of various inflammations:

• diseases affecting the oral cavity: gingivitis and stomatitis with periodontosis and glossitis;
• pathologies in the area of the upper respiratory tract: pharyngitis with tonsillitis (this also includes conditions after tonsillectomy);
• proctological diseases: hemorrhoids;
• gynecological diseases: cervical erosion and local treatment for inflammation. In addition, it is used to treat the vaginal area before performing a cesarean section (as a prophylactic substance).

The medication is prescribed for inhalations, special baths, and in addition, rinses or enemas.

The tincture can be used orally to treat colitis, enterocolitis, chronic gastritis, and also ulcers in the gastrointestinal tract.

Release form

The product is sold in the form of a tincture, in bottles or jars with a capacity of 0.1 l.

Pharmacodynamics

Recutan has some properties that develop under the influence of chemical elements contained in the chamomile extract. Among them are anti-inflammatory (inhibition of exudation processes), wound healing (stimulation of tissue healing processes), and some antiseptic effect.

The medicine has no local effect. No negative effects on the body are observed with prolonged use.

Dosing and administration

To treat oral lesions, rinses are performed: take 10 ml of the substance (2 teaspoons) and dissolve it in a glass of plain water (0.2 l). To treat periodontal disease, turundas must be soaked in this solution and then inserted into the gum pockets (the procedure is performed daily and lasts 10-15 minutes; the entire treatment cycle lasts 3-7 days).

In case of treatment of pathology affecting the upper part of the respiratory tract, daily inhalation procedures are carried out. The solution has the above concentration - 10 ml of the substance per 0.2 l of plain water. The drug must be used for 10 days.

For diseases occurring in the gastrointestinal tract, the extract should be taken orally. For an adult, 1 teaspoon of the drug (5 ml of the substance) is prescribed per 0.5 glass of ordinary warm water (0.1 l). The solution must be taken 2-4 times a day - 20 minutes before eating.

In case of hemorrhoids, the medicine is used for baths or enemas. In this case, 10 ml of the substance is diluted in a glass of warm water (0.2 l). The procedure must be performed 2-3 times a day.

When washing the vagina, it is necessary to use a solution that includes 30-45 ml of the medicine (2-3 tablespoons) and warm water (1 l). The procedure is performed 2-3 times a day for 3-4 weeks.

Use Recutana during pregnancy

The medicine should not be used during pregnancy.

During lactation, Recutan can only be taken with a doctor’s prescription.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated to use the drug in case of intolerance to its components.

Side effects Recutana

People with severe sensitivity to chamomile may experience allergic symptoms such as rash, angioedema, flushing, urticaria, itching and anaphylaxis.

Storage conditions

Recutan should be kept in a place closed to small children. Temperature indicators – maximum 25°C.

Shelf life

Recutan can be used within 24 months from the date of manufacture of the medication.

Application for children

There is no experience of using drugs in pediatrics.
