Kamistad is a medicine for local use in dental practice.
Indications of the kamistad
It is used to eliminate such pathologies:
- Gingivitis or stomatitis, labial erythema or cheilosis;
- damage to the oral mucosa due to the use of prostheses;
- irritation caused by braces;
- when the child's teeth are erupted (both dairy and indigenous);
- performing various orthodontic or dental procedures.
Along with this, the medicine is used to restore and anesthetize the damaged areas on the mucosa after various surgical procedures conducted inside the oral cavity.
Release form
The release is carried out in the form of a gel for the oral cavity in tubes with a volume of 10 g. Inside the package - 1 tube with gel.

Pharmacodynamics
The combination of active ingredients of the drug has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antibacterial effect.
Lidocaine is an amide substance that has a powerful local anesthetic effect. It works by stabilizing cell membranes, blocking Na channels. In comparison with novocaine, the lidocaine substance is more safe and effective, and besides it can have an antibacterial effect.
In the tincture of chamomile color contains several different in structure of substances with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial action, the combination of which increases the overall therapeutic effect of the drug. The most important curative elements are poltoratpenes, which contain more than 50% of the active components of chamomile. The anti-inflammatory effect of this substance is provided by the action of alpha-bisabolol, as well as hamazulene, which in addition have antibacterial and anti-mycotic effects.
Timol is a phenol derivative, which has an antimicrobial, as well as a pronounced antimycotic effect. It has a wide range of disinfecting effects, and, what distinguishes it from phenol, it has a weak toxicity index. Together with this, thymol also has antiviral properties.
Dosing and administration
The gel is applied to the damaged area with a layer no more than 5 mm, the procedure is carried out 3 times per day. Rub it with light massaging movements. Adult patients are allowed to apply the drug and more often 3 times, if there is such a need.
When using Kamistad to eliminate the discomfort caused by dentures, it is necessary to process the gel in those areas where rubbing occurs. Apply the drug to the full disappearance of manifestations of discomfort.

Use of the kamistad during pregnancy
There is no information on the safety of using the gel by pregnant or lactating women. As a consequence, it is forbidden to appoint it in the specified periods.
Contraindications
The main contraindications:
- hypersensitivity to the constituents of the gel;
- deficiency of the kidneys or liver, but in addition to this heart;
- increased blood pressure;
- bradycardia;
- problems with conduction inside the ventricles;
- infants less than 3 months old.
