Pharmacodynamics

Immunomax increases the properties of immunity against bacterial and viral infectious processes. Immunopharmacological mechanisms of drug action are manifested by activating the following links of immunity:

  • NK cells that strongly express molecules that activate CD69 (the reaction occurs 2-3 hours after the use of the drug). The cytolytic activity of these cells increases threefold;
  • the release of cytokines (IL-8, as well as IL-1β, and with them tumor necrosis factor) by circulating monocytes begins 2-4 hours after drug activation;
  • neutrophil activation occurs with the help of monocytes, the drug does not affect neutrophils directly. IL-8, which is secreted by monocytes, activates the activity of neutrophils, which becomes noticeable after 24 hours after using the powder;
  • changes in the morphology of macrophages located in tissues, increased production of bactericidal elements, changes in the activity of 5'-nucleotidases;
  • the formation of antibodies against foreign antigens that appear in the body (both corpuscular and soluble).

The drug increases the body's defense function against infectious processes caused by viruses (human papillomavirus, parvovirus, herpes simplex virus, as well as Carré's disease, etc.) or bacteria (salmonella, chlamydia, as well as E. coli, ureaplasma, staphylococci, etc.).

Dosing and administration

Children over 12 years of age and adults are prescribed intramuscular administration of 100-200 U of the drug once a day.

Before use, the powder must be dissolved in injection liquid (1 ml). Then it is administered intramuscularly in a dose of 100-200 U (the exact dose depends on the severity of the pathology). The therapeutic course consists of 6 injection procedures: on the first, second and third days, and then on the eighth, ninth and tenth days.

When eliminating condylomas, a 6-day course of 200 IU drug injections is combined with one of the selected additional treatment methods: electrodestruction, cryodestruction, solcoderm or laser destruction.

When eliminating infectious processes caused by viruses or bacteria, a 6-day course of injections of 100-200 U is also performed.

When correcting a weak immune system, a course of 3-6 injections in doses of 100-200 U is performed.
