Pharmacodynamics

Because the medicine has hepatoprotective properties, it can have a cholagogic effect, and with it helps to form and further dissolve stones inside the body. In addition, the drug has lipid-lowering, immunomodulating, and at the same time hypocholesterolemic effect.

Due to the presence of an element of UDCA in the drug, non-toxic forms of mixed-type micelles are formed together with bile acids of an apolar nature. As a result, the negative effect of gastric reflux on cell membranes (developing with esophagitis or reflux gastritis) is leveled.

The influence of UDCA component leads to the formation of molecules inside the human body that are embedded in the cell walls of hepatocytes with cholangiocytes, as well as epithelial cells inside the stomach. This leads to their stabilization and development of immunity against pathogenic cytotoxic micelles. UDCA reduces the level of bile acids, which have a destructive effect on the liver cells, and also stimulates the process of choleresis, which is distinguished by the presence of a large number of bicarbonates.

Highly active binder, which is contained in the drug, helps to reduce the cholesterol inside the bile, resulting in a decrease in its gastric absorption and binding within the liver. UDCA also interacts with cholesterol and increases its solubility in the bile, which eventually leads to the formation of crystals and a decrease in the level of the lithogenic index. A consequence of this is the complete dissolution of the gallstones.

The testimony of laboratory tests revealed that the drug has a high ability to block fibrosis in people with cirrhosis, cystic fibrosis or steatohepatitis of an alcoholic nature. Along with this, Holudexan interferes with the development of varicose veins inside the esophagus and inhibits the processes of premature aging, and in addition the death of hepatocytes with cholangiocytes and other cells.
