Hepatofalk Planta is a complex herbal medicine; the therapeutic effect is provided by the combined activity of its elements.
Silibinin, which is contained inside spotted milk thistle, has an antitoxic and hepatoprotective effect. It interacts with the walls of hepatocytes, normalizing their condition. In addition, it prevents the loss of transaminases, synthesizes free radicals, slows down lipid peroxidation and prevents the destruction of cell structures (this leads to a decrease in the volume of malonic dialdehyde formed, as well as to a weakening of oxygen absorption processes).

Pharmacodynamics
The medicine prevents the passage of some hepatotoxic components (including the poison of Amanita phalloides) into the cell. It has a stimulating effect on RNA polymerase, increases protein and phospholipid biosynthesis, and also increases the rate of healing of damaged hepatocytes. In case of alcohol poisoning of the liver, the medicinal substance blocks the production of acetaldehyde and synthesizes free radicals, and in addition, preserves the existing reserves of the element glutathione, which helps detoxification processes inside hepatocytes.
The alkaloid substance chelidonine, which is contained in celandine, has analgesic, choleretic and antispasmodic activity.
Turmeric has a choleretic (cholekinetic and choleretic) and anti-inflammatory activity, reduces the cholesterol content of bile, and at the same time demonstrates a bacteriostatic and bactericidal effect on salmonella with Staphylococcus aureus, as well as mycobacteria.
Dosing and administration
Use Hepatofalc planta during pregnancy
Use during lactation or pregnancy is permitted only with a doctor's prescription.

Intoxication with Hepatofalk Planta may cause disturbances associated with the effects of its components.
The use of large doses of celandine extract leads to the development of stomach pain, bloody diarrhea, intestinal colic, hematuria and urge to urinate, which is accompanied by confusion and severe dizziness.
In case of poisoning with turmeric extract, signs of gastric irritation (nausea and vomiting) may appear.
