Hepatofalk Planta is a plant-based, complex medicine; therapeutic effect is provided by the joint activity of its elements.
Silibinin, which is contained within the spotted milk thistle, has an antitoxic and hepatoprotective effect. Interacts with the walls of hepatocytes, normalizing their condition. In addition, it prevents the loss of transaminases, synthesizes free radicals, slows down lipid peroxidation and prevents the destruction of cell structures (this leads to a decrease in the volume of malondialdehyde formed, as well as a weakening of oxygen absorption processes).

Pharmacodynamics
The drug prevents certain hepatotoxic components (among them Amanita phalloides venom) from entering the cell. It has a stimulating effect on RNA polymerase, increases protein and phospholipid biosynthesis, and also increases the healing rate of damaged hepatocytes. In the case of alcohol poisoning of the liver, the drug substance blocks the production of acetaldehyde and synthesizes free radicals, and in addition saves the available reserves of the element glutathione, which helps detoxification processes inside the hepatocytes.
The alkaloid substance chelidonine, which is contained in the composition of the celandine, has analgesic, choleretic and antispasmodic activity.
Turmeric has choleretic (cholekinetic and choleretic), as well as anti-inflammatory activity, reduces cholesterol saturation of bile, and at the same time shows bacteriostatic, and besides, bactericidal effect on Salmonella with Staphylococcus aureus, as well as mycobacteria.
