Gentos is a combined homeopathic medicine used for benign prostatic hyperplasia. The effect of the drug's complex of elements helps improve urodynamic parameters.

Indications Gentosa

It is used for the following disorders:

• combination therapy of prostate diseases, chronic or acute (benign hyperplasia or prostatitis );
• women and men with pathologies affecting the bladder (atony or cystitis);
• disorders of the urinary tract caused by surgical procedures or other reasons.

Release form

The drug is released in the form of sublingual tablets and drops. Drops are released in glass bottles with a capacity of 20, 50 or 100 ml (1 bottle inside the package). Tablets are packed in blisters in the amount of 20 pieces. Inside the box - 1, 2 or 3 blister plates.

Pharmacodynamics

Gentos affects the mechanical cause of urinary disorders. In addition, there is antiproliferative activity in relation to prostate tissue and stabilization of smooth muscle tone in the detrusor and bladder area.

The medication has an anti-inflammatory effect and at the same time activates the evacuation-reservoir activity of the bladder. It also has a positive effect on the dynamic factor of dysuria in people with benign prostatic hyperplasia. All this leads to a slowdown in the growth of the prostate and the restoration of normal urinary function (increased urine flow, decreased frequency of urination and easier bladder emptying).

During therapy, the patient gradually increases tissue microcirculation inside the genitals and urinary organs. The degree of expression of congestive symptoms inside the pelvic organs also decreases, thereby eliminating one of the most important causes of prostatitis.

In people with chronic prostatitis, stimulation of blood circulation within the cavernous bodies of the penis is observed. This effect has a positive effect on the condition of patients with impotence.

The restoration of sex hormone levels is also recorded within the body (for example, neurohumoral regulation within the HPA axis, as well as the elimination of age-related androgen deficiency).

The drug helps prevent the development of complications in people with prostate hyperplasia.

In case of prostatitis, the use of drugs helps to reduce the severity of pain and burning during urination and sexual intercourse.

Dosing and administration

Drops or tablets are taken 0.5 hours before eating or 60 minutes after.

Methods of using medicinal drops.

The drops are taken orally; before swallowing the substance, it is necessary to hold it in the mouth for half a minute. The drops can be taken undiluted or dissolved in plain water (1 tablespoon).

The drug should be taken in a dose of 10 drops 3 times a day.

During the first days of therapy or in situations where it is necessary to quickly reduce the intensity of the symptoms of the disease, the drops are allowed to be used at 30-minute intervals until the patient's condition improves. But the drug is allowed to be used a maximum of 8 times a day. After the patient's condition improves, it is necessary to switch to 3-time use of the drug.

In the acute stage of prostatitis or cystitis, drops should be used for 14 days.

In chronic stages of cystitis or prostatitis, atony of the bladder, benign prostatic hyperplasia, as well as in urinary disorders of various etiologies, it is necessary to take drops for a period of 90 days.

After the patient’s condition has stabilized, the drops may be used 1-2 times per day.

Schemes for using the tablet form of the drug.

Adults take 1 tablet 2 times a day. Children aged 5-12 years should take 0.5 tablet 2 times a day.

For prostatitis, Gentos should be used for 1-3 months, and for cystitis - 14-21 days. For other pathologies, the medication is used for up to 90 days.

It is necessary to hold the tablet in the mouth until it dissolves completely.

Use Gentosa during pregnancy

There is no information regarding the development of negative effects on the infant or fetus. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are prescribed the drug with caution, conducting therapy under strict medical supervision.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated to use the medicine in case of severe intolerance to its components.

The drug should be used with caution if the patient has been diagnosed with thyroid dysfunction.

The use of drops may occasionally lead to the development of hypersalivation in the patient. If any other negative symptoms appear during the course of therapy, it is necessary to immediately consult a medical specialist.

Storage conditions

Gentos should be kept in a dark place, out of the reach of small children. The temperature should not exceed 25°C. The drops should be kept in a place protected from the influence of electromagnetic fields.

Shelf life

Gentos tablets have a shelf life of 36 months, and drops can be used within 5 years from the date of production of the pharmaceutical substance.

Application for children

Gentos drops should not be used in children under 12 years of age. Tablets can be used in children aged 5-12 years, but only with the prescription of the attending physician.
