Endofalk is a complex medicine that includes a mixture of various electrolytes and macrogol. An isoosmolar fluid is obtained from it. The prepared solution is used as a bowel cleanser. The drug is a laxative, and in addition, it prevents increased gas formation.

The developing diarrhea helps to empty and cleanse the intestines. The electrolytes contained in the finished liquid are balanced in such a way as to prevent reabsorption and release of water with electrolytes, which helps to avoid the disorder of EBV indicators inside the body.

Side effects Endofalka

Main side effects:

  • problems related to the gastrointestinal tract: flatulence or fullness in the abdominal area, vomiting, irritation in the anus, nausea and abdominal pain of a spasmodic nature. If the above symptoms appear, it is necessary to increase the interval between doses of the drug or stop using it until the disorders disappear;
  • CNS dysfunction: sleep problems, systemic weakness and mild disorientation;
  • lesions affecting the cardiovascular system: arrhythmia or tachycardia;
  • immune disorders: signs of allergy (urticaria, dermatitis or rhinorrhea);
  • changes in test results: hypocalcemia appears sporadically.

Overdose

In case of intoxication, severe diarrhea develops. A significant overdose can provoke a disorder of the balance of water with electrolytes, and in addition, acid-base indicators. In such violations, it is necessary to replace the lost fluid and monitor the pH values with electrolytes.

In case of disturbance of the EBV values or acid-base level, correction is performed taking into account the detected changes.

Aspiration can cause pulmonary edema, in which case the patient undergoes intensive therapy with the use of artificial ventilation and increased pressure.

Interactions with other drugs

The absorption of medications taken together with Endofalk or several hours before it is weakened or completely stopped - due to the accelerated excretion of the medication from the gastrointestinal tract. If it is impossible to cancel the drug for strict indications, it is necessary to switch to other methods of its administration (IV or IM methods). If there are no such dosage forms for the drug, the patient should be temporarily transferred to alternative drugs.

Interactions between macrogol and enzymatic assays (e.g. ELISA) may occur.

It is prohibited to mix the finished medicinal liquid with various additives (including sugar) or other solutions.
