Trichinosis pathogens are round worms of the Trichinellidae family, including two species - Trichinella spiralis with three varieties (T. Spiralis, T. S. Nativa, T. S. Nelsoni) and Trichinella pseudospiralis. In the pathology of the population of Ukraine, the most important are the T. S. Spiralis and G. S. Nativa. Trichinella s. Spiralis is ubiquitous, parasitic in domestic pigs, pathogenic to humans.

Trichinosis - Overview

Trichinellosis (Latin trichinellosis) is helminthiasis caused by parasitizing nematodes of the genus Trichinella in the human body. Characterized by acute course, fever, pain in the muscles, edema, high eosinophilia and various allergic manifestations.

Strongyloidosis: Treatment and Prevention

Etiotropic treatment of strongyloidiasis is carried out with anthelmintic drugs. Means of choice - albendazole. Carbendacim. An alternative medicine is mebendazole.

Strongyloidosis: diagnosis

Laboratory diagnostics of strongyloidiasis consists in revealing larvae of S. Stercoralis in faeces or in duodenal contents by means of special methods (Berman's method, its modifications, etc.).

Strongyloidosis: symptoms

When percutaneous infection in the place of introduction of larvae, erythematous and maculopapular eruptions occur, accompanied by itching. Patients complain of nonspecific symptoms of strongyloidiasis: general weakness, irritability, dizziness and headache, fever (up to 38-39 ° C).

Strongyloidosis: causes and pathogenesis

Strongyloides cause Strongyloides stercoralis (small intestinal nematode) is a type of Nemathelminthes, a class of Nematoda, a group of Rhabditida, a family of Strongyloididae.

Strongyloidosis: an overview

Strongyloidosis (Latin strongyloidosis) is a helminthiosis from the group of intestinal nematodes, caused by Strongiloides stercoralis and proceeds with allergic reactions, and later with dyspeptic disorders. A person becomes infected by penetration of larvae through the skin or by ingesting them with food.

Enterobiosis

Enterobiosis (Latin enterobiosis, English enterobiasis, oxyuriasis) is anthroponous contagious human helminthiosis, characterized by perianal itching and intestinal disorders.

Trichocephalosis: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Trichocephalosis (Trichyureas trichurosis Latin trichocephaliasis, trichuriasis) is anthroponous geogelmintosis, characterized by a chronic course with predominant gastrointestinal disturbances.

Ascaridosis

Ascaridosis (Latin ascaridosis) is helminthiasis from the group of intestinal nematodes, caused by ascarids (usually Ascaris lumbricoides). Characterized in an early stage by allergy phenomena, and in the late stage - by dyspeptic phenomena and complications during the penetration of helminths into other organs, as well as by blockage or spasm of the intestine.
