Gynecological diseases (gynecology)

Sepsis: causes and pathogenesis

The main pathogens in patients with sepsis are highly virulent gram-negative and anaerobic bacteria, less often gram-positive flora. Especially in sepsis, E. Coli, S. Aureus, S. Pneumoniae and obligate anaerobes are isolated.

Sepsis

Sepsis is characterized by the continuous or periodic inflow into the blood of microorganisms from a purulent focus, microbial or tissue intoxication with the development of severe polyorganic disorders and often the formation of new foci of purulent inflammation in various organs and tissues.

Peritonitis: causes and pathogenesis

The most difficult - with the disintegration of tissues, the formation of isolated purulent foci and the frequent development of pelvic thrombophlebitis and sepsis - anaerobic peritonitis is caused by B. Fragilis, P. Melannogenicus and other bacteroides.

Peritonitis

Peritonitis is characterized by severe general symptoms, including endogenous intoxication and multiple organ failure. Mortality in peritonitis was always one of the highest and reached 55-90% in postoperative surgical peritonitis.

Purulent-infiltrative omentitis: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Presence of a purulent process in the abdominal cavity or cavity of the small pelvis. In acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal cavity, the free edge of the large omentum, as a rule, is part of the conglomerate, thus limiting the inflammation focus from the free abdominal cavity.

Inflammatory fistulas: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

The causes of the development of inflammatory fistulas: an incorrect tactic of managing patients with purulent diseases of the pelvic organs. In patients with a prolonged and recurrent course of the suppurative process, if surgery is not timely, the perforation of the abscess (more often repeated) to the hollow organs and (or) the anterior abdominal wall

Appendicular infiltrate: acute, dense, loose

Differential diagnostics of the appendicular infiltrate and purulent tubo-ovarian formation of the right-sided localization presents considerable difficulties due to the longer process.

Mezhyshechnye and subdiaphragmatic abscesses

In essence, the delimited forms of purulent peritonitis refer to extragenital foci of purulent inflammation. In patients with purulent formations of the uterine appendages, especially with a prolonged recurrent course, microperforations can occur during the next activation (exacerbation) of the process.

Pyometra: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

The piometer is the accumulation of pus in the uterus as a result of infection of the contents of the uterine cavity with pyogenic microorganisms when the outflow from the cavity is disturbed.

Purulent tubo-ovarian formations

A sudden onset of diseases with a pronounced clinical picture, general and local changes characteristic of acute inflammation of the internal genital organs, occurs only in one out of three women who fell ill for the first time. For the first time, 30% of women seek medical help, in whom inflammation of the appendages has already turned into a chronic form.
