Diseases of the heart and blood vessels (cardiology)

Violation of repolarization processes on ECG

If both the ST segment and the T segment are altered (shifted), the physician records a repolarization disorder on the ECG. In a healthy person, the ST segment is isoelectric and has the same potential as in the interval between the T and P teeth.

Pericardial tumors

Pericardial tumors are a serious problem. Conventionally, all pericardial tumors can be divided into primary and secondary tumors.

Pericardial friction murmur

In some pathologic conditions, a pericardial friction murmur may occur. It is important to be able to recognize it, as it may have important diagnostic value.

Rheumatic pericardial lesions

Rheumatic pericardial lesions are often observed against the background of the course of rheumatic and autoimmune diseases, in which the level of sensitization of the organism is increased, increased autoimmune aggression is manifested.

Plaque in the carotid artery in the cervical region.

Carotid plaque in the carotid artery in the neck usually forms in the internal carotid artery.

Sinoatrial blockade

Sinoatrial blockade or sinoatrial node blockade, the sinus atrial node of the heart where the initial action impulse is formed, is a disruption in the generation of this impulse or its passage to the atrial myocardium (intra-atrial conduction), causing heart rhythm failure.

Early myocardial infarction

Irreversible damage to part of the heart muscle as a result of the cessation of its blood supply - acute myocardial infarction - can occur not only in older people, but also in those under 45 years of age. And then it is defined as early myocardial infarction.

Incomplete heart block

Partial slowing or interruption of impulses from the upper chambers of the heart (atria) through the atrioventricular node (AV node) and/or the bundle of Hiss to the lower chambers (ventricles) with impaired synchronization between them is defined as incomplete heart block.

Right ventricular myocardial infarction

A focus of necrosis of muscle tissue in the thickness of the wall of the right ventricle of the heart - its myocardium - is defined as a right ventricular myocardial infarction.

Second-degree heart block

Grade 2 heart block is a sudden or progressive delay in the time it takes for an electrical signal to travel through the atria that sets the rhythm of heart muscle contraction.
