Dermozolone has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, antifungal and anti-allergic properties.
Indications Dermozolon
It is used for therapy in cases of:
- dermatitis of various origins, against the background of which an infectious lesion of a bacterial or fungal nature is also observed;
- bacterial eczema (also with secondary infection);
- mycosis in the area between the fingers;
- infectious processes affecting the surface of the skin.
Pharmacodynamics
Prednisolone used locally (is a component of the ointment) has a vasoconstrictive effect, in addition to this, it strengthens the strength of vascular membranes. This substance also helps to slow down the processes of fibroblast reproduction and the movement of monocytes to the site of inflammation, which prevents the spread of this process. Prednisolone also helps to stabilize lysosome membranes. In addition, it affects the exudative and alternative stages of the inflammatory process, thereby preventing its spread.
Clioquinol is an antimycotic for external use. This element helps to destroy the enzyme system of microbes with fungi. It also affects gram-positive microorganisms (enterococci with staphylococci), yeast fungi and dermatophytes.
Pharmacokinetics
After local use of the drug, prednisolone is absorbed into the bloodstream in very small quantities. In the blood, the element is in a form synthesized with transcortin and albumin. Prednisolone is biotransformed in the liver, using oxidative processes. After this, the oxidized forms of the substance undergo glucuronidation and sulfation. Part of the active component is excreted unchanged, and the second - in the form of metabolic products. The excretion route is the intestines and kidneys.
When clioquinol is used externally, it penetrates into the bloodstream in small quantities, where it is synthesized with blood protein. Part of the substance's metabolism occurs in the liver. Excretion occurs with urine.
Dosing and administration
The medication is applied to the skin surface - the affected area of the body is treated with a thin layer of medicinal ointment. The procedure is performed 1-3 times a day.

Reviews
Dermozolone is a GCS that also has an additional fungicidal and antibacterial effect (topical steroid with a combined effect), which other corticosteroids cannot. This is an extremely important property, because with dermatoses of an eczema-like nature, as well as eczema, diaper rash and neurodermatitis, secondary infection is often observed. The drug Dermozolone has an extended medicinal activity, due to which its effectiveness increases. Reviews say that any ointments that contain hormones are highly effective and fast acting. This, in addition to the above properties, is one of the main advantages of the drug.
The only inconvenience, according to patients, is that the ointment is produced in small quantities, so it is extremely difficult to find at drug retail outlets. At the same time, forum users also note that the use of drugs that are analogs of the drug is ineffective compared to the action of Dermozolone.
