Indications Dermazole plus
The medicine is used to destroy and prevent the appearance of various fungal infections affecting the scalp, accompanied by itching and peeling:
- elimination of dandruff;
- elimination of dermatitis of a seborrheic nature;
- in the case of pityriasis versicolor, a localized form of lichen - in the hairy area of the skin on the head.
Release form
The product is released in the form of shampoo, in bottles of 50 or 100 ml. There is 1 such bottle inside the box.
Pharmacodynamics
The medicinal effect of the shampoo is developed due to the action of its active elements – zinc pyrithione with ketoconazole.
Ketoconazole is an artificial derivative of imidazole dioxalan, which has fungistatic and fungicidal properties against dermatophytes (Microsporum spp., as well as Epidermophyton spp. and trichophytons), as well as various strains of yeast-like fungi, as well as yeast-type fungi (from the genus Candida and Malassezia furfur).
Zinc pyrithione has antimicrobial and antimycotic effects when used externally. It is effective against fungi, staphylococci, streptococci and other pathogenic bacteria. This element has an antiseborrheic effect and helps eliminate dandruff along with seborrheic dermatitis.
A shampoo containing ketoconazole relieves itching and flaking, which often occur with dandruff, pityriasis versicolor and seborrheic dermatitis.
Thanks to the powder of the aloe vera plant, the hair is moisturized, and at the same time, the hair is enriched with various useful microelements, as well as vitamins.
Pharmacokinetics
No tests have been performed to determine the pharmacokinetic characteristics of the drug, but there is evidence that zinc pyrithione with ketoconazole after external application is almost not absorbed into the circulatory system and does not have a systemic effect.
Dosing and administration
Before use, shake the bottle of shampoo well.
It must be applied to pre-moistened scalp and hair for approximately 3-5 minutes, and then rinse the substance with warm water.
Schemes for using the drug for different diseases:
- for dandruff, and at the same time for seborrheic dermatitis - therapy lasts 0.5-1 month, using shampoo twice a week; for prevention, it is necessary to use the medication once a week or once every two weeks;
- for pityriasis versicolor - for treatment, you need to wash your hair with shampoo every day for 5 days; for prevention, take a single course before the start of the summer season - wash your hair with the preparation every day for 3 days.
Use Dermazole plus during pregnancy
During lactation or pregnancy, the shampoo can be used only in situations where the probable benefit to the woman is higher than the possibility of complications for the baby/fetus.
Contraindications
Contraindications include hypersensitivity to zinc pyrithione, ketoconazole or other components of the therapeutic agent.
