Pharmacodynamics

The drug is reversibly synthesized with histamine conductors (H1), blocking them. This allows you to remove hypersecretion and swelling of the nasal mucosa, spasm of the bronchi and smooth muscles, and itching. In addition, there is a narrowing of the capillaries and strengthening of the strength of the vessel walls.

It has hypnotic, antihistamine and pronounced antipruritic properties. It demonstrates the highest efficiency in preventing the development of allergy symptoms and reducing their severity.

Blocking m-cholinergic receptors leads to a moderate antispasmodic effect on smooth muscle organs - there is a decrease in muscle tone in the bronchi, intestines and bladder.

Reviews

Chloropyramine hydrochloride is a 1st generation antihistamine drug that is reversibly synthesized with H1 conductors. Because of this, to obtain a therapeutic effect, the drug must be taken in large doses, and because the effect of the drug has a short duration, the drug must be taken 4 times a day, and sometimes even 6.

Taking large doses of the drug leads to the development of a feeling of drowsiness, as well as a sedative effect (in some people, also to dizziness). It is these facts that are usually the reason for the appearance of negative reviews about the drug. Due to such an effect, it is necessary to limit the use of drugs in people whose work is associated with high coordination of movements, as well as rapid response. Therefore, doctors prescribing this drug are obliged to warn patients about the possibility of developing a sedative effect.

Rochloride is allowed to be used for 2 years from the date of release of the drug.
