Cholagol has laxative, choleretic, and also antispasmodic properties.

Indications Holagola

It is used for the following disorders:

  • cholelithiasis;
  • chronic cholecystitis in remission, and also cholangitis;
  • biliary colic;
  • treatment of liver cirrhosis and epidemic hepatitis.

Release form

The product is released in drops, in 10 ml bottles. There is 1 such bottle inside the box.

Pharmacodynamics

The active components of the drug are quickly absorbed inside the gastrointestinal tract and eliminate spasms of the bile duct, and in addition, help speed up the process of bile excretion. The drug also has an analgesic, laxative, anti-inflammatory and moderate disinfectant effect.

Due to the complex action of Cholagol, the production of bile is stimulated, and in addition, its discharge from the gallbladder.

Oil obtained from peppermint relieves muscle spasms inside the bile ducts and significantly facilitates the excretion of gallstones.

Pharmacokinetics

Cholagol should not be prescribed to pregnant women.

Dosing and administration

Adults take the medicine orally - 5-10 drops of LS with a piece of sugar. Take 30 minutes before meals, three times a day. If the patient has colic, it is allowed to increase the single dose of LS to 20 drops per single use.

The drug must be taken with time intervals between uses (at least 5 hours). The daily maximum is no more than 30 drops of the drug. Therapy can last a maximum of 1.5 months.

Dosage sizes for adolescents aged 12 years and over are selected individually.

Contraindications

Main contraindications:

  • renal dysfunction;
  • the presence of hypersensitivity to the drug;
  • inflammation in the liver area in the acute stage;
  • breast-feeding;
  • children under 12 years of age.

Caution is required when prescribing to individuals with alcoholism, epilepsy, and brain disease or injury.

Side effects Holagola

The drug is usually well tolerated. Nausea, heartburn, bowel disorders and vomiting are observed only occasionally. Signs of allergy occur sporadically.

Storage conditions

Cholagol is kept in a place where sunlight does not penetrate, at a temperature of 10-25ºC. It is prohibited to freeze the drug.

Shelf life

Cholagol is permitted to be used for 3 years from the date of release of the drug.
