Centaury herb has a complex effect that helps improve the condition in cases of nervous system and gastrointestinal tract disorders.
Indications Goldenseal herb
It is used for the following disorders:
- loss of appetite;
- symptoms of dyspepsia;
- cholecystitis, atonic obstipation or hepatitis;
- recovery from previously suffered infections;
- helminthiasis.

Release form
The substance is released in 2.5 g briquettes or in special 1.5 g filter bags. There are 20 pieces in a pack.

Pharmacodynamics
After taking the decoction, appetite increases, gastric juice secretion processes improve, and gastrointestinal motility improves. The medication has a laxative and mild anthelmintic effect.
Usually, the therapeutic effect of the medicine develops immediately after drinking the decoction, stimulating and toning the activity of the gastrointestinal tract. But the herb of centaury does not always have an effect - it can be effective in digestive disorders, but not in the case of an elevated pH level.
Along with this, the decoction can be used in cases of anorexia associated with nervous stress, when appetite disappears. The drug also stabilizes the condition in cases of nervous exhaustion caused by overwork (mental or physical). Sometimes the medicine is used for headaches and cholelithiasis.

Dosing and administration
The medicine is taken orally, in the form of a decoction or tincture. The medicine should be taken 3-4 times a day, in the amount of 1 tablespoon, half an hour before meals.
In the chronic stage of hepatitis or cholecystitis, it is necessary to consume 0.1 l of the substance 0.5 hours before meals (2-3 times a day).
To make a tincture, 20 g of the preparation is poured with boiling water (1 l), after which the medicine is infused and filtered.
Use Goldenseal herb during pregnancy
Not prescribed to pregnant and lactating women.
Storage conditions
Centaury herb in bags and briquettes should be stored in a dark and dry place at room temperature.

Shelf life
Centaury herb can be used within a 24-month period from the date of manufacture of the medicine.

Not used in pediatrics (under 18 years of age).
