Pharmacodynamics

The active ingredient of the drug is the substance betaxolol. The effect of the drug is aimed at lowering the IOP values. The active element has almost no resorptive effect and does not cause the appearance of miosis.

Betoptik does not provoke accommodative spasms and hemeralopia, because it reduces the amount of watery moisture produced.

The drug differs from miotics in that it does not give rise to the effect of fog and veil in the eyes.

Dosing and administration
