Muscles (muscular system)

How to strengthen uterine muscles with exercise, calisthenics, balls

The uterus is an unpaired organ of the female reproductive system, consisting of smooth muscle structures, located in the pelvic cavity between the bladder and rectum, responsible for the reproductive function of the female body and the menstrual cycle.

Laryngeal muscles

The muscles of the larynx are divided by their functional features into muscles that stretch the vocal cords, expanders and constrictors of the glottis. All muscles of the larynx, except for the transverse arytenoid, are paired.

Tongue muscles

Among the muscles of the tongue, paired, striated, there are intrinsic muscles and muscles that start on the bones of the skeleton (skeletal muscles). Intrinsic muscles of the tongue start and end within the tongue, and skeletal muscles have a bony origin.

Muscles of the foot

Along with the tendons of the lower leg muscles attached to the bones of the foot, which are part of the anterior, posterior and lateral groups, the foot has its own (short) muscles. These muscles originate and are attached within the skeleton of the foot, and have complex anatomical, topographic and functional relationships with the tendons of those lower leg muscles whose attachment points are located on the bones of the foot.

Shin muscles

The shin muscles, like other muscles of the lower limb, are well developed, which is determined by the function they perform in connection with upright walking, statics and dynamics of the human body. Having an extensive origin on the bones, intermuscular partitions and fascia, the shin muscles act on the knee, ankle and foot joints.

The great adductor muscle

The large adductor muscle (m.adductor magnus) is thick, triangular in shape. It begins on the ischial tuberosity, the branch of the ischium and the inferior branch of the pubic bone. It is attached along the entire length of the medial lip of the rough line. It is located behind the short and long conducting muscles. The semitendinosus, semimembranosus muscles and the long head of the biceps femoris are adjacent to it behind.

Long and short adductor muscles

The long adductor muscle (m.adductor longus) has a triangular shape, is located medially and below the pectineus muscle, covers the short adductor muscle and the upper bundles of the large adductor muscle in front.

The crest muscle

The pectineus muscle (m.pectineus) is short, flat, and originates on the crest and superior branch of the pubic bone.

Thin muscle

The gracilis muscle (m. gracilis) is flat, long, and located superficially along the entire length of the medial surface of the thigh.

The semispinalis muscle

The semimembranosus muscle (m.semimembranosus) begins on the ischial tuberosity with a flat, long tendon. The tendinous plate continues downwards and, narrowing distally, passes into the muscle belly at the level of the middle of the thigh.
