The domestic pharmaceutical market currently offers a fairly large number of all kinds of tick protection products. On the one hand, this is good. But on the other hand, there is often a problem associated with choosing the necessary drug among many others. The most popular is tick aerosol: this is a very convenient form of the drug, which is extremely easy to use.
Indications for the use of aerosols against ticks
Aerosols can affect ticks in different ways: some of them destroy the parasites, and some simply prevent their attack. Such preparations are called acaricides and repellents, respectively. There are also combined action aerosols that combine at least two active components. Their purpose is to repel ticks, while simultaneously destroying those that have managed to get on clothing or skin.
Aerosols against ticks can be divided not only by the degree of impact on insects, but also by the active component. For example, aerosols containing Cyperpermethrin and similar substances provide good protection against arthropod parasites. Among such preparations, the most famous are Gardex, Picnic, Moskitol. Diethyltoluamide (DEET), which is present in most anti-tick products, also provides good protection.
Combined aerosol products may contain both components. Combinations are usually used in cases where there is a need for the versatility of the selected product.
