Indications Adonis-bromine

The medicine is shown at a moderately-low degree of circulatory insufficiency in a chronic form - it is used as a sedative.

Release form

Produced in the form of tablets. One package contains a blister plate with 10 tablets, or a jar with 25 tablets.

Pharmacodynamics

The properties of the drug are due to the components that make up its component - an extract from adonis of polar cymarin glycosides (about 1-10% of the total number of glycosides) with adonitoxin (about 3-20% of the total number of glycosides), and in addition, bromide ions.

The latter allow stabilizing the function of GABA receptors (in the open form), after their connection with aminalone, thereby facilitating the passage of bromide in the cells, and in addition chloride ions, and a decrease in neuronal activity.

Tsimarin combines with the neurostyroid site, which in the GABA receptor is responsible for recognition, thereby increasing its sensitivity to the properties of aminalon. Inside the membrane of the myocardium and the neuronal membrane, cymarin acts as a blocker of the activity of Na + / K + -ATPase, thereby interfering with the removal of Na (+) cells. Increasing the level of sodium inside cells destabilizes the process of excretion of calcium from them, and also accelerates the contractile function of the myocardium.

Adonis-bromine has weak cardiotonic properties, mainly due to the presence of a systolic component in it: it increases the strength of the cardiac contractions (positive inotropic effect), as well as the excitability of the myocardium (positive buttropic effect).

The diastolic properties are less pronounced - the effect is characterized by a slowing down of the rhythm of cardiac contractions (negative chronotropic effect), as well as by conducting through the myocardium nerve impulses (negative dromotropic action).

Due to the use of the medicine, cardiac contractions increase slightly, and the time period of systole decreases, simultaneously with the lengthening of the diastole period. There is also a decrease in heart rate.

Adonis-bromine accumulates and, as a consequence, enhances the slowing processes in the cerebral cortex. In addition, it stabilizes the balance between the functions of inhibition, as well as excitation inside the central nervous system.

Dosing and administration

Admission is done orally - 1 tablet 3 times a day. It is allowed to use the medicine in combination with other drugs for the treatment of neuroses, neurocirculatory dystonia, and other similar conditions.

Use Adonis-bromine during pregnancy

Adonis glycosides are able to pass through the barrier formed by the placenta, so the drug is not recommended for use in pregnancy.

Adonis-bromine can penetrate into breast milk, so for the duration of the treatment course, it is required to stop breastfeeding. Resume feeding can be at least a month after the completion of therapy.

Contraindications

Among the contraindications:

  • severe bradycardia;
  • individual intolerance to drug components;
  • stage of exacerbation of gastritis or enterocolitis;
  • ulcer;
  • MAS syndrome;
  • endocarditis;
  • AV blockade;
  • presence of angina pectoris (in this case the drug is allowed to use only if heart failure has been diagnosed in parallel);
  • ventricular tachycardia;
  • carotid sinus syndrome;
  • poisoning with glycosides;
  • myocardial infarction (it is allowed to apply only in case of severe degree of heart failure, accompanied by an increase in the myocardium);
  • Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome;
  • hypercalcemia or hypokalemia;
  • isolated form of stenosis of the mitral valve;
  • childhood;
  • aneurysm of the thoracic aorta;
  • shock state;
  • hypertrophic stage of cardiomyopathy.

Side effects Adonis-bromine

As a result of the use of drugs, such adverse reactions as vomiting with nausea (they arise due to the influence of cardiac glycosides on the emetic center with chemosensitive receptor zones, and besides the reflex reaction of the gastric mucosa on the irritating properties of the drug) are possible. Also, a vomitive reflex can arise due to the excitation of receptors in the heart.

Overdose

If the dosage is exceeded, the CNS function disorder (anxiety, headaches, vision problems, insomnia and symptoms of depression) or diarrhea, and loss of appetite may develop.

Due to an overdose of cardiac glycosides, a sharp development of bradycardia is possible, and in addition to bi-or trigeminia or polytopic extrasystole, as well as a slowing of conduction between the ventricles and atria.

The intake of toxic doses can provoke ventricular fibrillation, as well as cardiac arrest. Since the drug can be cumulated, its poisoning effect can be manifested in some form even in the case of prolonged use of the drug in standard dosages.

In case of the development of poisoning with an overdose of cardiac glycosides, it is necessary to cancel the drug intake for a while. If necessary, the patient is prescribed antiarrhythmic drugs, as well as potassium preparations.

Interactions with other drugs

As a result of the connection with the preparations of the lily of the valley, foxglove, and also of the strophant, the toxic properties of other cardiac glycosides can be intensified.

The compound with antiarrhythmic drugs of type IA (this is procainamide, quinidine, and also disopyramide), as well as laxatives, glucocorticosteroids and calcium preparations increases their toxic properties and medicinal effect on the body.

Increases the suppressive effect exerted on the central nervous system by benzodiazepine derivatives, and also by sedative-hypnotic drugs, anticonvulsants, neuroleptics and alcoholic beverages.

When combined with halothane anesthesia in the body, the levels of bromide ions increase, and the toxic properties and medicinal action of Adonis-bromide increase.

Due to the use of salted foods in the process of treatment with the help of Adonis-bromine, the rate of excretion along with the urine of bromides increases, and besides, the effect of the drug is weakened.
