Colds, ARVI and ARD cause cough symptoms of different types. Milk with cough oil is effective in both dry and wet attacks. The interaction of the two components has the following effect:
- Softening of irritated mucous membrane.
- Encapsulation of inflammatory tissues with fatty film.
- Rapid warming of the body.
Oil is a fatty product rich in proteins, vitamins and microelements. To treat colds use cream, vegetable and even essential oils. There are several recipes for preparing therapeutic drinks based on butter and milk:
- Mix a glass of milk, two tablespoons of honey, a sprig of cloves, a couple of cinnamon sticks and nutmeg. Cook the medium over medium heat for 30-40 minutes. Strain and take on a tablespoon 4-6 times a day.
- Take a glass of warm milk and add to it a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir thoroughly. This remedy is effective against coughing attacks, and also fights well with constipation.
- Add in a glass of warm milk 20 g of melted butter. Stir the ingredients until smooth. Take 1 glass 2-3 times a day.

Milk with butter from cough
To eliminate pain in the throat, milk with butter is excellent. From cough, these ingredients can be used from the first days of illness. The oil has a beneficial effect on the mucous membranes, enveloping them and creating a protective barrier. In combination with a dairy liquid, the creamy product has such an effect on the body:
- Relieves spasms.
- Minimizes pain.
- Warms up.
- Helps liquefy sputum and cough.
- Increases the protective properties of the immune system.
- Removes inflammation.
- Saturates the body with useful nutrients.
Medicinal components should be used in a warm form. When choosing milk, it is better to give preference to homemade fat with at least 2.5%. The same recommendations apply to oils. More fatty product has pronounced enveloping properties.
To prepare a remedy, put in a cup a tablespoon of honey and ½ tablespoons of oil, mix thoroughly and pour warm milk. Take 2-3 times a day until disappeared unpleasant sensations. Instead of butter, cocoa butter can be added to the beverage . It has pronounced antibacterial properties and is effective in angina. The use of margarine, spread and other vegetable mixtures instead of a natural cream product is contraindicated.
Before using this recipe, it should be taken into account that high fat content of oil can cause bouts of nausea and indigestion. This prescription is contraindicated for the treatment of children younger than 1 year, with liver and GI diseases, as well as lactose intolerance and obesity. With a weak digestive system, oil can be replaced with vegetable fats. Good goat, goose, badger or bear lard. But it should be borne in mind that such products have a very specific smell and taste.
