Anejaculation is the absence of ejaculation during normal sexual intercourse or any other type of sexual activity, regardless of the duration of the act. Being a pronounced disorder of the copulative function, the absence of ejaculation also determines absolute infertility.
Causes lack of ejaculation
Primary absence of ejaculation is the most common in urological practice. It is characterized by the preservation of libido, erection and orgasmic sensations. A common cause of this pathology is damage to the central nervous system due to injuries and damage to the lumbosacral structures of the spinal cord, surgical interventions on the spinal column, which is combined with a violation or absence of patency of the vas deferens. This form of absence of ejaculation can also be a consequence of congenital malformations, which are accompanied by the absence of patency of the vas deferens.
Secondary absence of ejaculation occurs in men who have not had any problems with ejaculation before. This problem is solved with the help of additional caresses from the partner.
Lack of ejaculation may be a consequence of excessive alcohol consumption or the result of taking certain medications for the treatment of depressive disorders, arterial hypertension, constant stress or an active sex life.
Symptoms lack of ejaculation
Symptoms of absent ejaculation depend on its form. There are three forms of absent ejaculation: aspermatism, retrograde ejaculation and impaired sperm emission into the urethra.
- Aspermatism is characterized by the fact that, regardless of the duration of sexual intercourse, the ejaculate does not enter the urethra; ejaculation and orgasm are absent.
- Retrograde ejaculation is accompanied by the ejaculate being thrown back into the bladder; orgasm is weakened but preserved.
- Less common is a violation of the emission of ejaculate into the urethra, in which case it is retained at the level of the ejaculatory ducts, and the intensity of orgasm is sharply reduced.

Treatment lack of ejaculation
An excessively long absence of ejaculation significantly increases the duration of sexual intercourse, but for those couples who are planning to conceive a child, this becomes a huge problem.
It is obvious that the range of causal factors and pathogenetic mechanisms is quite wide, and the treatment for the absence of ejaculation (anejaculation) offered by urologists is quite effective.
Primary absence of ejaculation due to anatomical defects of the vas deferens is treated by performing surgery in an outpatient setting, which allows restoring their patency. Secondary absence of ejaculation is treated mainly with medication.
