Tumors of the nasal cavity are relatively rare diseases. Much more often diagnosed tumors of the paranasal sinuses and, in particular, tumors of the maxillary sinus. Malignant tumors of this region make, according to different authors, from 0.2 to 1.4% of cancer tumors of other localizations.

The goals of chronic frontitis treatment are restoration of drainage and aeration of the affected sinus, removal of pathological detachment from its lumen, stimulation of reparative processes.

Acute sinusitis: treatment

The "gold standard" in the treatment of acute purulent sinusitis is still considered to be puncture treatment. In countries of Western Europe and the United States, the use of systemic antibiotics is more common.

Acute sinusitis is an acute inflammation of the mucous membrane of one or several paranasal sinuses. Inflammatory diseases of the paranasal sinuses are considered one of the most urgent problems of otorhinolaryngology.
