Acrokeratosis verruciform Hopf: causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment

Acrokeratosis vertexiform Gopfa - genodermatosis with autosomal dominant type of inheritance. Sometimes occurs in combination with Daria's disease, which, according to some authors, is an expression of a birth defect in keratinization. It is characterized by the presence of a large number of verrucous papules, mainly on the dorsal surfaces of the hands and feet. Papules of normal skin color or reddish-brown, often covered with hyperkeratotic layers.

Pathomorphology of acrokeratosis of vertexiform Gopf. Characterized by hyperkeratosis, acanthosis with thickening of granular standing, epidermal processes are elongated and uneven. Sometimes there is papillomatosis, which can be significant, combined with limited epidermal elevations in the form of "spire", occasionally with atypical epidermal growths. When acrokeratosis is combined with Darya's disease in the lesions, one can see signs of the latter. The elevations of the epidermis in the form of a "spike" are typical for acrokeratosis of Gopf, but they may be absent, which makes it necessary to differentiate it from ordinary and flat warts, in which parakeratosis and vacuolization of the cells of the upper layers of the epidermis are noted.
