Ulcers vulva acute (synonym: acute ulcer Lipshutz).
The causes and pathogenesis of acute vulvar ulcers have not been established. It is suggested that this disease is caused by Bacillus crasus, the Epstein-Barr virus.
Symptoms of an acute ulcer of the vulva. Girls and young women are often sick. There are single or, more often, multiple highly painful ulcers, mainly on the inner surface of the labia, sharply delimited from healthy skin, covered with purulent or necrotic plaque. Eruptions are accompanied by common phenomena (malaise, fever, chills, joint pain, etc.). Often, acute vulva ulcer is combined with aphthous stomatitis, erythema nodosum. Peripheral lymph nodes usually do not increase. The course of the disease is acute, it can proceed chronically, with relapses.
Differential diagnosis. The disease should be distinguished from syphilitic chancre, mild chancre, trichomonas and gonorrhea ulcers, aft.
Treatment of acute vulvar ulcer. Bed rest is needed. Recommend antibiotics of a wide spectrum of action, vitamin therapy, antihistamine preparation. In severe cases, systemic corticosteroids are prescribed. Local appoint washing with disinfectant solutions, antibiotics, corticosteroid ointments and creams.
