Epidermophytosis inguinal - mycosis, caused by anthropophilic fungus Epidermophyton floccosum (flaky spidermophile). The skin of inguinal, axillary folds and shins are affected , less often - the skin of the interdigital folds and the nail plates of the feet.
In skin scales, a septate branching mycelium is identified, rectangular arthrospores located in chains. In pure E. Coli, floccosum consists of a septate yellowish mycelium, large chlamydospores (20-30 microns), and blunt-ended macroconidia, arranged in groups at the ends of hyphae, 3-5 in the form of bundles of bananas. Inguinal dermatomycosis can also cause Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentogrophytes and fungi of the genus Candida.
