Still healers of antiquity noticed that a tender white-yellow flower, in appearance the inflorescence resembling the sun, possesses a variety of medicinal properties. The unique composition of the flowers of the plant makes it unusually popular in medicine and cosmetology. Compositions based on plant colors are used both inside and outside. And rinse with chamomile is just one of the effective procedures to improve the condition of the skin, mucous and hair, thanks to the many beneficial actions inherent in this plant.
Not only beautiful
The similarity with a gentle warm sun makes chamomile flowers very attractive, so do not be surprised by their popularity as a wreath on the girl's head. But the external beauty of the plant is reinforced by inner wealth, because chamomile contains many useful substances that have a beneficial effect on the body. And the area of its distribution is wide enough that practically everyone could take advantage of useful properties of a plant for health promotion. All this gives the chamomile the right to be considered one of the most popular and affordable medicinal plants.
Many useful properties are known to the plant, but not all. But these properties are available to the plant due to its unique composition. To begin with, the chamomile has a fairly decent composition of mineral substances, among which:
- Potassium, which maintains the efficiency of the heart muscle,
- magnesium, a beneficial effect on the state of the nervous system and soothingly affecting sensitive skin receptors,
- Calcium, considered the main building material for bones, teeth, nails, hair,
- chlorine, which, along with potassium and sodium, participates in water-salt metabolism, helps maintain osmotic pressure of blood and other biological fluids,
- phosphorus, actively involved in the formation and growth of bone tissue, teeth, which contributes to the stable functioning of the brain and heart.
- sulfur, responsible for the condition of the skin, hair and other tissues of the body, since this macro-element is involved in virtually all metabolic processes, stabilizing them, is responsible for the synthesis of amino acids, vitamins, hormones and enzymes in the body,
- silicon (in the form of dioxide) takes an active part in the assimilation of mineral salts and vitamins by the body, in fact being the catalyst for most vital processes.
Already, only the mineral composition indicates that the plant can bring great benefits to man. But in addition to minerals, chamomile contains other important substances for health:
- Vitamins (their list is small, but the benefits are significant):
- Vitamin C - one of the most important vitamins for the body, which has powerful antioxidant properties, provides protection from bacteria and viruses, helps fight inflammation and allergies, stimulates the immune system. It is believed that this vitamin takes an active part in the production of many hormones and collagen, has a regulatory effect on the process of hematopoiesis, increases the permeability of small blood vessels, cleanses the body of toxins and normalizes metabolism. In addition, thanks to vitamin C, calcium in the body is absorbed better, which is important for the condition of bones, cartilage, teeth, hair, etc.
- Provitamin A - another powerful antioxidant, which helps to cleanse the body of free radicals. It helps maintain immunity at a high level, helps protect the body from the harmful effects of infectious and other negative environmental factors. Turning into the body in vitamin A, it helps to maintain the function of vision, healing of sores and wounds on the mucous membrane, skin, teeth, nails and hair, reducing harmful cholesterol in the blood, and the stable operation of the cardiovascular system.
- Vitamin B4. Choline in chamomile is contained in small amounts, but this does not make it less useful. Vitamin B group actively participates in fat and cholesterol metabolism, it is a part of the nervous membranes, it has a beneficial effect on the work of the nervous system and brain, it helps to restore damaged liver cells, it has a beneficial effect on male health and reproductive function.
- Essential oil, which is so rich in inflorescence (despite the fact that the flower has white and yellow petals, ether has a blue tint), is a valuable source of two important components:
- hamazulen - a substance with a pronounced anti-inflammatory, antiallergic and antispasmodic effect, contributing to the best healing of wounds and tissue regeneration,
- bisabolol is a component with antibacterial and antifungal action that also helps fight inflammation, has a soothing and moisturizing effect on the skin and mucous membranes, promotes healing of wounds, removes unpleasant symptoms (itching, burning, peeling).
- Organic acids. In the composition of chamomile flowers, several types of such acids can be found, each of which has a beneficial property for the body. Thus, salicylic and caprylic acids show antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, and isovaleric provides a sedation of sensitive receptors, i.e. Has a calming effect.
- A lot of biologically active substances:
- Flavonoids (plant pigments that have many useful properties). One of these pigments is apigenin, which is attributed to antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antitumor properties. Flavonoid luteolin has anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effect, and quercetin is also characterized, in addition to the above, antiviral and antiallergic effect.
- Coumarins. In the composition of chamomile, we find herniarin and umbelliferone. These substances are characterized by anticoagulation (prevention of thrombosis), vasodilating, antispasmodic and sweating properties.
- Phytosterols. These are substances that are an excellent prevention of arteriosclerosis of blood vessels.
- Polysaccharides. Important sources of energy for humans.
- Tannins, which have a strong, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and hemostatic effect.
- And also unsaturated fatty acids, protein compounds, cardinenes, farnesenes, gum, mucus, bitter, etc.
Thanks to the many components that make up the plant (and most inflorescences are the inflorescences most often used in folk medicine), chamomile is considered one of the main medicinal plants. It has the following useful effects:
- stimulation of natural regenerative processes in tissues,
- antimicrobial and antiviral activity,
- significant effectiveness in the fight against fungal infection,
- the ability to have a calming effect on the nervous system, the skin and mucous membranes,
- antiallergenic property, i.e. Ability to reduce the symptoms of allergic reactions,
- a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect that manifests itself more than many other medicinal plants, which makes chamomile so popular,
- ability to accelerate the healing of various lesions on the skin and mucous membranes,
- softening effect, valuable for skin and hair care,
- some analgesic effect,
- the ability to remove from the body harmful, poisoning substances (detoxification).
On such useful properties of the plant, doctors and cosmetologists simply could not help paying attention. And although the admirers of folk methods of treatment noticed first, the doctors of traditional medicine (therapists, pediatricians, dentists, dermatologists, otolaryngologists) also often remark rinses with chamomile in their appointments in various pathologies. And cosmetologists recommend rinsing the hair with a decoction of flowers after washing your head.
Indications for the procedure
Rinsings - this is one of the effective procedures, especially popular in the treatment of the sore throat. The purpose of this procedure is the cleansing of the mucosa from pathogenic microorganisms to prevent their penetration into the respiratory tract and digestive system, the removal of unpleasant symptoms of inflammation. To carry out the procedure, use various medicinal compounds and folk remedies, the most sparing of which is a decoction or infusion of chamomile. Not in vain because rinsing daisies doctors appoint even small children.
In what cases can the throat rinse with a camomile-based composition? A similar procedure can be prescribed by a therapist or an ENT doctor, if the patient complains of perspiration and sore throat caused by the multiplication there of infection or inflammation caused by an allergic reaction.
Rinse with chamomile will be an effective procedure for sore throat, which can be observed with tonsillitis (tonsillitis), laryngitis, viral infections, allergies, exposure to corrosive substances (acids and alkalis) in foods and drinks. When inflammation due to allergies or irritating effects on the mucosa of the throat, the soothing and anti-inflammatory effect of chamomile flowers is useful. And with infectious pathologies, the plant will help fight bacteria, viruses and fungi in the throat.
The procedure will provide many useful actions: cleansing, moisturizing, soothing, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, wound-healing (with inflammation of the mucous throat, microdamages can develop on it, which subsequently develop into sores).
Estimating the rich composition and many medicinal properties of the plant, many may wonder whether it is possible to drink chamomile with sore throat, because doctors usually insist on complex treatment, implying both local and systemic effects. The answer to the question will be positive. And although with unpleasant sensations in the throat, the use of chamomile tea will not have such a pronounced curative effect as rinsing, it will have antioxidant and calming effects that help increase immunity and activate the body's internal forces to fight the disease.
Than with sore throat or flu will be useful sedative effect? Disease is a stress for the body, and it is considered an enemy of immunity, so the property of chamomile to inhibit the activity of the nervous system will be just the way. For the most part, it is the sedation caused by the antiviral effect of the plant, because the virus can only be defeated by the stable functioning of the immune system.
With a fever characteristic of angina and influenza, warm chamomile tea will have a diaphoretic effect that promotes natural cooling of the body and a decrease in temperature.
If the respiratory pathology is accompanied by a runny nose and stuffiness of the nose, the swelling of the nasal mucosa is removed and the pathogenic bacteria can be removed from them again by rinsing the nose with aqueous camomile compounds.
The useful properties of chamomile are also welcome in dentistry. Rinse with chamomile is a procedure that can be prescribed by the dentist in case of toothache, as well as to prevent infection and inflammation of the gum tissue after tooth extraction. For rinses with toothache, a strong broth of chamomile with a pronounced anti-inflammatory and some analgesic effect is recommended. In this case, it is recommended to rinse the sick tooth, and not the whole mouth (as an option you can use lotions from a ready warm broth).
Especially often dentists prescribe chamomile for gum rinsing with gingivitis and periodontitis, as well as inflammation of the oral mucosa with the formation of multiple painful sores on it (stomatitis). It is not in vain because many therapeutic and preventive pastes from gum disease and oral mucosa are made on the basis of herbs. Rinsing the mouth with a decoction or infusion of chamomile helps to relieve gum disease and reduce their soreness, and when stomatitis additionally contribute to cleaning the mucosa and wounds on it from an infection that plays a big role in the development of the disease.
It is clear that rinsing a diseased tooth or gums to relieve the inflammatory process and the pain caused by it does not solve all the problems. After all, the infection that caused unpleasant symptoms can hide deep inside the tissues, where a strong chamomile broth will not have access. Nevertheless, as a temporary measure, allowing a person to wait more or less quietly for a visit to the dentist, rinsing will prove very useful.
Cosmetologists recommend water compositions of chamomile for hair and scalp care. Rinsing hair after washing with decoction or infusion of chamomile has a clarifying, antifungal, firming, and softening effect. Chamomile activates the blood circulation in the scalp, which contributes to the improvement of cellular nutrition and respiration, promotes the restoration of hair structure and their strengthening, prevents hair loss due to the negative influence of certain environmental factors, removes the inflammation caused by irritation of the scalp with unsuitable washing and grooming agents.
Use chamomile and to wash (rinse) the face. This procedure helps to cleanse, moisturize and soothe dry skin, eliminate foci of inflammation on it (acne, acne), whiten, normalize the condition of oily and combination skin, remove swelling in the eye area, and have a rejuvenating effect. Decoction of chamomile, transformed by means of a refrigerator and special molds, into the ice cubes, you can additionally wipe your face, which will improve the tone of the skin and muscles of the face, which is usually called the lifting effect.
Gynecologists recommend water compositions of chamomile for carrying out douching (rinsing) of the vagina. This effective cleansing treatment will also have an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effect, help to relieve pain and discomfort in the lower abdomen, and, if necessary, fight the infectious agent of the disease (bacteria and fungi) will strengthen the effect of antifungal and antibiotic therapy.
Preparation
Rinsings, regardless of the location of pain and inflammation, as well as the goals pursued, are considered a simple procedure that does not require special preparation. The only thing that will need to be done in advance is to prepare a suitable medicinal composition, and for this you need to know how to properly brew chamomile for rinsing the gums, throat, mouth, nose, hair.
Usually, inflorescences of chamomile are used to prepare medicinal rinse compositions, which contain the maximum amount of nutrients. On their basis, a solution is prepared, an infusion and a decoction of chamomile for rinsing the mouth, nose, skin of the face and head, including syringing.
Under the solution, we mean an infusion prepared on the basis of a packaged drug. How to gargle with chamomile in bags? First you need to prepare a medical composition, which is very simple: pour a packet of herbs with hot water in the amount of 1 cup and insist for at least a quarter of an hour with the lid closed. Filter the solution on it, because the filter bag material does not let large particles pass. When the composition cools down to a warm state, you can start rinsing.
It should be said that, despite all the ease of use, many people do not really trust the composition of the packaged products, because through the almost opaque material of the filter bag it is difficult to consider what is behind it: petals of flowers or ordinary hay, i.e. Dried stems and plant leaves. In this case, it is better to give preference to pharmacy collections, where through the cellophane package one can evaluate the quality of raw materials, or prepare grass for future use, collecting it in ecologically clean areas.
There are no specific recipes for preparing an effective decoction or infusion for external use. For example, to rinse your mouth and throat, the doctor can recommend a weak solution prepared from 1 tbsp. Dry inflorescences and 1 cup of boiling water (this solution is most suitable for rinsing small children). Adult patients without a tendency to allergic reactions therapist, ENT doctor or dentist can advise a stronger infusion, for which take not one but 2-3 tablespoons. Herbs. This infusion will be more effective in stomatitis, angina and other diseases caused by the influence of the infectious factor.
The infusion is prepared as follows: dry grass is poured with boiling water, covered with a lid and insisted for 15-30 minutes depending on the degree of grinding of the raw materials (whole inflorescences need to be insisted for longer than crushed). To infusion quickly acquired the desired strength, it is recommended to cook in a thermos or dish, which can be additionally wrapped.
With inflammation of the gums and toothache it is recommended to prepare a stronger composition. In that case, the decoction prepared from 5-6 tablespoons is more suitable. Inflorescences of chamomile and 1 glass of water. Boil the mixture on a low heat or a water bath for half an hour.
Rinse with chamomile for diseases of the throat, nose, gums and oral mucosa should be done after the prepared composition is cooled to a warm state and strained (if raw materials are used without sachets). Cold or too hot infusion or decoction will not be of use, since they will irritate the inflamed mucous membrane even more.
Cosmetological and gynecological procedures also require preliminary preparation, which consists in the preparation of the medicinal composition.
Gynecologists for syringing with an active inflammatory process in the uterus and vagina recommend preparing a weak broth of chamomile, for which 1 liter of water is taken only 2 tablespoons. Dry flowers. A stronger decoction is not necessary, since regular procedures with an antiseptic can lead to a disruption of the vaginal microflora, which will be a fertile soil for relapse of the disease and fungal infection (thrush). During the procedure, the broth should be hardly warm or have room temperature.
In cosmetology broth chamomile for washing is recommended to cook from 2 tablespoons. Flowers of a plant and 1 glass of water. The composition is first boiled for about 10 minutes, and then it is insisted for another 40-45 minutes. To wash and wipe your face you need a cool composition, then it will have a toning effect.
Traditional medicine and cosmetologists offer various recipes for rinsing the hair with chamomile. For rinsing a non-strong broth prepared from 1-2 tablespoons is suitable. Dry raw materials and 1 glass of water. First, the composition is brought to a boil, then removed from the fire and leave to infuse for half an hour. As an option, you can simply boil the mixture for 5 minutes.
From the same proportions, you can prepare an infusion, filling the grass with boiling water and leaving to infuse for half an hour. Compositions based on chamomile contain a coloring pigment and can change the color of the hair. If there is no such desire, cooked decoction or infusion is recommended to dilute in 1 liter of pure water.
If the reddish color seems attractive to you, the composition is used undiluted. You can also adjust the proportions, because the stronger the composition, the more saturated will be the color of the hair. On light hair, the shade will be more noticeable, and dark hair is recommended to use stronger spices.
Infusions and decoctions for rinsing hair should have a temperature pleasant to the head (warm or at room temperature). They also need to be filtered before use, because they do not require subsequent flushing and are used at the final stage of the grooming procedure for washing the head.
To lighten the hair to the broth prepared on the first recipe, you can add 100 g of lemon juice. At the same time, it is not necessary to remove the compound from the head.
As a variant of the clarifying agent, chamomile (75 g) is mixed with vodka (250 ml) and hydrogen peroxide solution (25 ml). First, dry raw materials for two weeks in a dark place insist on alcohol, and then mixed with peroxide. The finished product is diluted in warm water (2 tablespoons per 1 liter of liquid), which is used for rinsing hair.
Infusion of chamomile, prepared at a rate of 1.5-2 tablespoons. Dry inflorescences per 1 cup of boiling water, can be used not only for rinsing, but also for washing the head, adding it to a suitable shampoo. This tool will help in combating such a problem as dandruff, will reduce itching on the scalp. After washing, you can additionally rinse the hair with a weak broth or solution (broth diluted with water) chamomile.
As you can see, chamomile itself is a good medicinal product, given to us by nature itself. But this is not the only medicinal plant that can be used for the rinsing procedure. Often the combination of different herbs has a stronger healing effect, so do not be afraid to diversify the procedure, including in the rinsing compounds new ingredients.

Technique Chamomile for rinsing the mouth with sore throat and inflammation
After the treatment is prepared, brought to the right temperature and filtered, you can proceed directly to the rinsing procedure. But it should be borne in mind that despite the similarity of the names of the procedure, it may differ depending on the part of the body that is being manipulated.
Rinsing the throat with chamomile in case of angina, flu, laryngitis and other colds, when the infection is localized in remote areas of the oral cavity, is performed taking into account the requirement of deep penetration of the therapeutic solution. In this case, it is not enough to get liquid into the mouth and to perform oscillatory movements with the help of muscles. You need to tilt your head back so that the solution reaches the back wall of the pharynx and cause the vibrational movements of the fluid by reproducing vowel sounds (a, o, s).
Movement of the glottis will be transmitted to the fluid, which is hitting the walls of the throat, it will clear it from bacterial plaque even more effectively. Language during rinses should be tried to push forward, fixing on the lower teeth.
For rinses, small portions of liquid are used, ensuring that they do not enter the esophagus. Still, this is a procedure aimed at washing out the infection from the body, rather than facilitating its penetration inside. Having typed water in a mouth and having thrown back a head, it is necessary to try to rinse out a throat within a minute then the liquid spit out and type a new portion.
The amount of liquid for a qualitative rinse of the throat should be at least 200-250 ml (1 glass). During the procedure, it is necessary to ensure that the therapeutic composition has a comfortable temperature, i.e. Was warm. If necessary, it is heated.
To rinse the throat, infants and slightly older use a syringe. The child during the procedure should be kept in an upright position, bending his head slightly downwards so that the water could safely flow out of his mouth (as an option, you can put the child on its side). To inject a medicinal compound into the throat, it is necessary to use the syringe very carefully. The jet should not be strong. It is even easier to lubricate the baby's throat with a medicinal solution, moisten a wound bandage or using ear sticks in it.
Older children need to be taught first to properly rinse the mouth, regularly spitting out the liquid, and then go to the rinsing of the throat. The child needs to be explained that it is necessary to make sounds during gargling not only for fun, but also for the liquid not to get into the respiratory tract (this is impeded by the exhaled air flow), so there is nothing to be ashamed of.
The recommended multiplicity of the procedure for rinsing with chamomile for sore throats is 5-6 times a day. In an acute period, gargle should be rinsed every 1-2 hours. If combined formulations are used, the amount of rinses can be reduced to 3-4 times a day.
Moreover, after the procedure, it is not recommended to eat food and even water for at least 20-30 minutes, so that rinsing not only cleanses, but also therapeutic effect, because the particles of herbal medicine will settle on the mucosa and act even when the rinse procedure is over.
Rinse with chamomile nose is done differently. To do this, you do not need to collect fluid in the mouth, it is delivered directly to the nasal passages. It is most convenient to do this with the help of a pipette (especially if the procedure is performed by a small child and no more than 3 drops of solution are to be instilled into each nostril), a syringe or a syringe without a needle.
But you can type the healing composition in one hand and, covering, for example, the left nostril with the second hand, draw in the right nostril fluid. To release the composition for washing the nose back is needed with the help of the second nostril, for which we rotate the head in such a way that it is lower than the one into which the solution came. The procedure is done alternately for both nasal passages.
If you use a pipette or a syringe, you need to inject the solution into one nostril, and hold the other briefly with your hand and release it. Injection of the drug should be done very gently with a gentle stream, especially if the procedure is carried out by the child.
The digestive solution is instilled in the nose with a pipette of 1-3 drops, turning the child's head to the side so that the liquid does not enter the respiratory tract, and then sucked out the liquid with a syringe. After all, kids are not yet able to flaunt themselves and will not be able to remove the medicinal composition from the nose themselves. Older children need to be taught to flaunt themselves, and then to carry out the washing of the nose. Do it better in a game form, so that the procedure does not seem child punishment and does not cause fear.
How often you need to rinse your nose with various diseases is not superfluous will consult a doctor.
Rinsing the mouth with chamomile for toothache, gum disease and stomatitis does not require deep penetration of fluid into the oral cavity. With stomatitis, sores are usually located in the area of the inner surface of the lips and cheeks, less often in the tongue, and when the teeth and gums are affected, the sore spot is severely restricted. It is important that the treatment team be in the area of injury during the procedure. And it does not matter if you vibrate with your cheeks, moving the liquid in your mouth, or just hold it inside the mouth, periodically replacing the used compound with fresh.
The number of procedures in this case does not matter. Particular care should be taken when the mouth is removed after tooth extraction. In this case, in the deepening of the gums, a blood clot forms, stopping the bleeding and preventing the entry of fresh microbes into the fresh wound, which are always present in the oral cavity. If you rinse your mouth too hard, you can accidentally wash this clot, which is very undesirable. It is better to collect in the mouth a certain amount of medicinal composition and hold it over the cavity of the removed tooth. After a couple of minutes a portion of the decoction of chamomile is replaced with a new one and again kept above the indentation.
It is even easier to rinse the chamomile hair. Restrictions on the number of procedures in this case, no, because the broth or infusion of chamomile in this case is used instead of a balm-rinse, softening the hair and making them more attractive. Rinse your hair every time you wash your head, when the shampoo is completely washed away. Flush the composition on the basis of chamomile from the head is not needed. Staying on their hair, they will continue their health-improving effect on the scalp and hair.
Chamomile broth, used for washing, also does not need to be washed off the face, because it actually is a natural caring agent, to get the effect of which you need time. In other words, a decoction of chamomile can be regarded as a vegetable tonic or a means for washing and cleaning the face.
Camomile can simply wash or rinse your face after carrying out cleaning procedures using special means (scrubs, peeling, etc.). Nature has given us a unique plant, whose regular washing allows us not to recall such unaesthetic defects on the face like acne and acne, fight skin irritation due to shaving or use of unsuitable cosmetics, remove peeling and redness caused by negative weather conditions (frost , wind, active sunlight).
Complex compositions for rinses with chamomile
In addition to rinsing with chamomile flowers alone, a doctor can recommend procedures that include other herbs or alternate procedures with chamomile and other ingredients. The fact is that different herbs have different composition and inherent properties. It is clear that the collection of them will have a wider range of actions by analogy with complex pharmacy products.
Special plant dues for gargling, nose or hair, like those used inside with diseases of the broncho-pulmonary system, kidneys, gastrointestinal tract, in pharmacies can not be found. But such an effective collection can be made independently. In this case, it is necessary to rely not on the number of herbs, but on their properties. It is enough to brew medicinal 2-3 herbs with antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and soothing effect.
In diseases of the throat, doctors often recommend cleaning procedures with chamomile. But not much less popular uses and sage, the extract of which is included in many herbal preparations from sore throat. Leaflets of this plant are characterized by bactericidal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, wound-healing, soothing and analgesic properties.
To rinse the throat, sage is used as an independent agent, brewing 1 tablespoon. Vegetable raw materials in a glass of water and insisting the composition for an hour, or in combination with other ingredients (table salt or sea salt, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, others, etc.).
Quite often, to ease the pain in the throat, sage is used in conjunction with other herbs, for example, use to rinse daisies and sage. Such procedures have a pronounced anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, as the plants complement each other. To prepare medicinal herbs mix approximately in equal proportions, then take a tablespoon of the collection and brew with boiling water, leaving to infuse for about an hour.
With a cold and flu, you can gargle with a decoction of plants. For its preparation, take 1-2 tablespoons of herbs, pour a glass of water, bring to a boil and keep on a small fire for a quarter of an hour, then remove from the plate and cool to a warm state.
To protect the sore throat from irritation in the collection of herbs, you can include mother-and-stepmother, which has an enveloping effect due to the high content of mucus. In this case, a glass of water should take 1.5-2 tablespoons. Mixture. The composition can be used for rinsing and ingestion.
From sage it is possible to make preliminary alcoholic tincture, on a glass of vodka having taken 25 g of dry leaves and insisting them in a dark place within 2 weeks. Tincture can be added to the broth of chamomile (20-25 drops per glass).
With toothache, gingivitis, periodontitis, stomatitis, rinse the mouth with a decoction prepared according to the following recipe: 1-2 tablespoons. Mixture consisting of equal parts of the inflorescences of chamomile and sage leaves, pour 1 cup boiling water, insist in the heat for half an hour and cool to the desired temperature. With pain in the tooth or gum disease, the composition can be held in the mouth in the vicinity of the affected area.
If it is a deep inflammation of the gums (periodontitis) to the mixture of herbs, you can add mint. 2 tablespoons of the collection pour 1 cup of boiling water and insist in the heat for about 7-8 hours. If necessary, you can use the infusion for rinsing and earlier, because a fairly strong composition is obtained after 30-60 minutes.
Sage, like chamomile, is considered a good antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, so it is actively used in cosmetology. A decoction of chamomile and sage can be used for washing with problematic skin prone to inflammatory reactions. You can cook it according to one of the above recipes.
Herbs are also good for hair. So sage can help to cope with such problems as hair loss and increased fatness of the head. It can increase hair growth, soothe the scalp itching of the scalp, remove all kinds of inflammation on it.
The plant contains pigments that color the hair in a dark color. But if it is used in combination with chamomile, the clarifying effect of the sun flower will be compensated by the dark pigment of the sage, i. E. We get a universal tool that does not change the natural color of the hair.
For rinsing hair, take 2 tablespoons. Mixtures of herbs, fill them with a glass of water, boil for no more than 5 minutes and insist for half an hour. When the broth cools down a little, add it to 1 liter of clean water and rinse this composition with washed hair. For the treatment of dandruff and inflammation, the composition can be used undiluted.
Chamomile and sage are herbs-antiseptics, whose antimicrobial effect is not very pronounced. Therefore, when it comes to purulent processes in the throat and oral cavity in the herbal composition, it is recommended to include stronger herbs in this respect, for example, calendula. Calendula, which is popularly called marigold, has a more pronounced antibacterial effect and is able to cope with the majority of pathogens that cause respiratory infections.
Chamomile, sage, calendula for rinsing the throat can be used individually or as part of a mixture of herbs. To conduct the procedure from a one-component formulation, prepare the infusion of calendula, taking a glass of boiling water 1 tsp. Dry flowers, and insisting the composition for 30-40 minutes.
Antibacterial properties of calendula can be supported by the anti-inflammatory and soothing effect of chamomile. Rinse with chamomile and calendula doctors recommend with catarrhal and purulent angina. Herbs should be mixed in equal quantities. To prepare the infusion for rinses, take 1 tablespoon. Mixture of herbs for 1 cup of boiling water and insist for about an hour. Cooled to a warm state strained infusion, bring boiled water to the original amount of liquid.
On the same principle, and infusion based on a mixture of 3 plants. When coughing and sore throat, instead of sage, you can take eucalyptus leaves or add a few drops of tincture of the plant to the ready infusion of chamomile and calendula. The latter option is suitable only for the treatment of adults.
A mixture of three medicinal herbs (chamomile, calendula, sage) in the absence of allergy is suitable for rinsing in children with angina and other colds caused by an infectious factor. But in this case, the infusion should be less strong (1 teaspoon of herbs per 1 glass of water).
Alcohol tincture of calendula, which can be purchased at any pharmacy, added to the decoction or infusion of chamomile and sage will be an excellent first aid for toothache and gum disease. Such a compound will actively fight with microbes that cause inflammation and pain, and simultaneously remove swelling of tissues and other unpleasant symptoms.
Calendula is also considered one of the best means for purulent inflammatory processes on the skin, so it can be used as a lotion and wash with acne and acne on the face and body. Regularly applying a complex decoction or infusion of herbs can make the skin clean and beautiful, preventing the appearance of inflammatory foci.
All of the above herbs have a beneficial effect on the scalp, so they are used for rinsing after hygiene procedures (both individually and as part of the collection). Infusion of herbs for rinsing the head is recommended to dilute with water (1 cup of medicinal composition per 1 liter of water).
It must be said that calendula is also actively used in gynecology with infectious and inflammatory processes in the genital area. For example, for syringings you need to make a decoction of 3 tablespoons. Dry flowers of a plant and 2 glasses of water (we boil not more than 3 minutes). In some cases, doctors recommend alternating syringing with chamomile and calendula.
Rinsing with chamomile can be combined with procedures in which other substances with antiseptic and softening effect are used. For example, with angina and other diseases of the throat and nose, with inflammation of the gums and toothache, rinsing and rinsing of the nasal passages with saline or soda solution (alternatively, using soda-salt solution) is very popular.
For example, soda, carefully diluted with water, is considered an excellent antiseptic and also has a softening effect on the mucosa. If you hold alternating rinses with chamomile and soda, the pain and choking in the throat will pass much faster. Such treatment will be effective in the candidiasis of the throat, which is most often diagnosed in children.
Since soda perfectly copes with fungi, dandruff and dermal fat, it is actively used to wash the head, adding to shampoos or as an aqueous solution (more suitable for normal and oily hair). If after washing your head with a soda rinse your head with a decoction of chamomile, you can forget about many problems with scalp and hair.
Various recipes based on chamomile, calendula, sage, soda, lemon juice, etc. For rinsing of the throat and rinsing of the skin and hair is very much, because the use of effective and safe folk remedies is quite a worthy alternative to traditional treatment or can be used in combination with it, strengthening the effect of pharmaceutical products. And when it comes to treating children and pregnant women, the safety used by the compound plays a decisive role in the choice of medicines and procedures.

Features of rinsing chamomile in pregnancy
Rinsing with chamomile during pregnancy will help the expectant mother to get rid of the infection that penetrated into the mouth and throat. At the same time, such procedures significantly reduce the amount and dosage of antibacterial drugs that can be prescribed for purulent and severe pathologies.
For rinses in this case we prepare a standard infusion (1 tablespoon vegetable material per 1 cup boiling water, insist 20-25 minutes). The same infusion can be washed nasal passages with a cold and nasal congestion.
With sore throat, 1 spoonful of honey can be added to the rinse-ready rinse aid composition, which will strengthen the antibacterial and wound healing properties of the infusion. But it is very important to take into account the fact that unlike chamomile, which is considered a hypoallergenic plant and infrequently causes allergic reactions, honey is the strongest allergen and can harm future mother and baby. Add it to any formulations for systemic and topical application only if the woman does not have intolerance to beekeeping products.
And since during the pregnancy and hormonal adjustment of the body the immune system does not always react adequately, it is recommended to conduct an allergy test before applying any rinse formulations, applying the composition for several hours to the wrist area. In the absence of redness, itching and swelling of the tissues, you can use the composition for rinsing. The fact is that pregnant women sometimes have an allergy even to those substances that her body had not previously reacted to.
Contraindications to the procedure
Rinsing with chamomile is a curative and prophylactic procedure, in which there is a local effect of medical formulations on the mucous membrane of the mouth and nose, skin, hair. We are talking about local effects, which means that there will be fewer contraindications to such a procedure than in the case of internal grass intake.
Chamomile is considered one of the safest medicinal plants, therefore, even for internal intake of formulations on its basis, there are not so many restrictions. It is not recommended for people with an anatomic gastritis (insufficient production of hydrochloric acid) and a stomach ulcer caused by this disease, mental disorders (due to the danger of premature sedation), with a tendency to diarrhea, painful menstruation (although on the eve of a month's doctor can even recommend anti-inflammatory and soothing chamomile tea). At pregnancy also it is not necessary to take a great interest in such medicine, after all it can provoke increase of a tone of a uterus and provoke an abortion or premature birth.
But the most important contraindication, which is common for both internal reception and for topical application, is the individual intolerance of the chamomile components. Allergic reactions to this plant, although rare, but not excluded. So with allergies and bronchial asthma, the procedure for rinsing with chamomile should be treated very carefully.
When using multi-component formulations for rinsing, contraindications to each grass included in the collection must be taken into account. But since we are talking about the external use of herbs, the main problem remains allergic reactions to different plants, or rather their components.
Consequences after the procedure
The therapeutic procedure for rinsing the throat with chamomile is aimed at cleaning the affected mucous from infection and accumulating mucus, alleviating the symptoms of inflammation (redness, swelling, pain), improving the patient's condition. The consequences of a properly performed procedure can only be positive: the number of pathogenic microorganisms in the lesion site decreases, the body becomes easier to fight them, the disease passes faster.
The same can be said about the rinsing of the mouth with chamomile for stomatitis, gum disease, toothache. The procedure helps to relieve the symptoms of inflammation, helps to fight the bacteria present in the mouth, the biologically active substances of chamomile increase local immunity and contribute to the rapid healing of wounds after removal of the tooth and sores on the mucosa, reduce bleeding gums.
Syringe daisies are used in the complex treatment of vaginosis, candidiasis, cystitis, erosion and inflammation of the uterine mucosa. In this case, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects of the plant are useful. True, this procedure has some limitations, not related to the composition used, but with the possibility of carrying out similar manipulations. So syringings are not performed during menstruation, during pregnancy, in the postpartum period and during recovery from surgery, in the first days after miscarriage. This procedure is not recommended during periods of aggravation of diseases of the female sexual sphere. It is useful for young women, but after 40 years is no longer relevant and even dangerous due to insufficient moisture of the vagina and a small amount of lubricant produced (oh, those hormones!).
It is often not necessary to conduct such a procedure. The vagina of a woman can be cleansed independently and hygienic rinse with chamomile will only help wash away the beneficial microflora. Another thing is if the body needs to help fight inflammation.
Face wash and rinse hair at first glance may seem completely safe procedures. So it is, if you use a weak solution and not every day. Much depends on the type of skin. Regular washing with chamomile in case of dry skin of the face can have after the procedure such complications as strengthening of skin dryness, tightening and peeling. Chamomile regulates the work of the sebaceous glands, making the skin more dry, and this is more important for normal, combination and oily skin.
The same goes for chamomile hair rinsing. With increased fat content of the head, such procedures will only benefit, even if carried out daily. If the hair is dry, take a daisy is not worth it.
What other complications are possible during and after the procedure? If during the rinsing of the throat to distract and talk, there is a risk of getting a liquid in the respiratory tract, which can lead to coughing. Especially dangerous is the condition for small children, which means that they should be rinsed very carefully and, if possible, in the presence of a doctor.
An identical situation can be observed even when the nose is washed. In addition, sometimes the inhalation of fluid leads to its entry into the maxillary sinuses, which is accompanied by very unpleasant sensations in the head and eyes.
And, of course, if you do not take into account the possibility of developing allergic reactions, you may encounter such symptoms occurring after the procedure, like the appearance of rashes and itching, swelling of the mucous membrane, sneezing, coughing. These are all manifestations of allergies. Usually chamomile provokes mild reactions, but with increased sensitivity of the body, some people can not rule out the possibility of developing Quincke's edema and anaphylactic shock.

Care after the procedure
The care after the procedure of rinsing the throat with chamomile consists in observing the interval between the medical procedure and the intake of food / water. Like any other medical manipulation of the rinse can somewhat weary the patient, so after their conduct, it is better not to take active steps and avoid heavy physical exertion. Walking in the fresh air is also worth shifting to another time or at least wait half an hour-hour.
The same can be advised to those who rinsed the nose with chamomile. But rinsing the mouth with stomatitis, gum disease and toothache does not subsequently imply special restrictions, except for eating and liquids. After washing and rinsing hair, there is no need to leave for the next half an hour, and then the person himself decides what kind of care procedures can still be required for his skin and head.
